May 14th

Made a quick trip to CP. Didn't get to ride Raptor since it was down. The sign said due to weather conditions, but the wind did calm down enough for it to be running. So I don't know if there is a crack or not. I saw what looked to be some rust at the bottom of the drop where the crack was last year but can't say for sure.

Matainence force was running red and blue trains, with just about all steel wheels. The MF lady was not playing just the guy. And no MF station music. The yellow train was on the transfer track, with dummies loaded. Got in the station, 2 trains away from riding and MF went down for about 15 minutes due to mechanical reasons. Don't know why...don't really care. What was strange was when the got it back up the ride op's said "Manual" and the train crept out of the station until it was halfway out and then it went to full speed. I thought that was interesting and had not seen that before. It was running VERY slow, with little airtime.

Blue streak, just like everyone said, airtime, smooth, and speedy. Great ride

Mantis, had the trims on during the drop running two trains, and alot of headbanging on the second half after the midcourse trims. More then I remember for some strange reason.

Magnum, Running great, didn't see any lapbars roped off, and pretty smooth with great airtime on the return as always.

Ended with WT, in the back Super as usual.
Saw Joe E, Kristin, and Robodud. And rode Gemini

As far as what the nice new footers are for, I'm not even going to speculate, but taking a guess...If it's a coaster, it probably would go across to the lagoon and travel down towards Frontier town.

Raptor for you OD, NONE for me

This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!

Funny story for the day:

We were in the station waiting to get on Iron Dragon, and an empty train came in. The ride op doing spiels goes "Welcome back riders...er...um...Welcome back train!"

I love being at the park when it's empty. 15 walk-on rides on Magnum today..made the few hours that we spent at the park totally worth it.

Yep I was there too. My wife and I went with her sister who was in from Denver. It was a surprisingly great day and I was very skeptical looking at the weather in the morning. We rode everything with 2 rides on MF and WT - with of course, the exception being Raptor. Would someone clue me in to what is up with the Raptor? My wife was pretty upset because it is her favorite ride and out of 2 trips so far this season she hasn't gotten a ride yet. Opening day it kept going down and we didn't get a ride and now this time it is "conveniently" down due to weather conditions even though every other coaster was operating in the same weather. What aren't they telling us? Thanks.

I went in yesterday on my day off and ended up riding rides.(had no plans to just ended up doing it anyway)The one coaster I have been waiting 7 months to ride was Raptor which was down AGAIN.Thats the second day off I took and wanted to ride Raptor since I ended up riding anyway and it was down.Hopefully next time I will be able to ride that beautiful, green scream machine.
