May 13-16

I will just run down the park day by day.

Thursday:

Got there at 3:00 and saw Dragster wasn't running. We headed over to it and were about 10th in line. Waited 20 minutes and they let us in. Missed a rollback by one train. Still a great ride though. We decided to wait again since it didn't look long.

About 15 minutes later were sitting down in our seats. Then we hear "Unlock restraints. Please exit the train the way you entered." Everyone seemed to be pissed. It was drizzling. Finally it stopped an hour later. An hour and a half later the ride was open. We get on launch make it to the top...not quite. We were in the middle of the train and we didnt even get to the complete top. The rollback was awesome. Half the train seemed to be happy and the other half was really scared. Our next launch just creeped over.

Next we went to Magnum. Rough but the airtime was so good I didn't care. Right as we were going over the top my cell phone goes flying out of my pocket towards the race track below I forgot to button my cargo pants. Really pissed when I got off I went around but knew looking for it was useless.

That night we did Magum about 5 more times, then Mantis and Millennium Force once. Then were in our hotel and we get a call on my dads cell phone. I looked at the caller id and it was my phone! They said they found it over near Gemini and I should go to CP Police the next day. I was stunned anyone would be able to make it out as a cell phone after the fall it took!

Friday:

Ran to Dragster. Got first in line. Had the front row. A lot better ride in the front. Over the day we did all of the major roller coasters and Power Tower, Cadillac Cars, and some other flat rides. Don't have a good memory of it really. Also got my cell phone back. Only a tiny crack on the front.

Saturday:

The people at the Soak City gate said Dragster and Millennium Force were closed for morning rides because of weather. So we went to Donut Time. Pretty good donuts but slow service.

Anyway Saturday Dragster was breaking down over and over again and it seemed it would never be running consistently. They opened it around 9:30-10:00 PM and said it was a 4 hour wait. And the line inside the queue was before the soda machines. We finished with 5-10 rides on Magnum at night. The line was just in the station. I never really remembered Magnum as that good so I'm glad I got all the rides. I think it was something like 20 for the weekend.

Overall It was a good trip. Dragster seemed to be running a lot worse this year in May on our trip then last year in May when we went. Still I got 6 rides on it so I'm happy. Thanks for reading.

Man, that cell phone incident must've been scary! Last year when I went I left my wallet at Kiddy Kingdom but I found it seconds later. Sounds like you had fun, can't wait to get to the Point next year.
