Here goes my first trip report posting:
Got to CP late on the 12th. Very light crowd. We got to ride almost everything. We had a small delay on the Magnum because someone threw up all over. The ride op got a huge applause for cleaning up the mess. They had the garden hose out and washed it down. That added about 10 minutes on what should have been a quick ride. That ride op get's a mega cheer from me. I couldn't do it. We left after closing.
May 13th
We arrived around 2:00pm. Another great day! The lines were not that long. I think we waited around 20 minutes for the Raptor. We were by the Power Tower when on of the green towers lifted a group up and slowly let them down. It took about 10 minutes for it to come down. When it did, it appeared that they gave them an all clear and everything was fine. I'd like someone to explain what happened. Spent a lot of time in the arcade. My wife loves skeetball. On mothers day I had to do what mom wants. We hit some of the midway games. I was surprised to see the toss the quarter on the plate game gone. They made a few more game upgrades and replacements. we had a great time.
I did spot some May Flies. I'm looking forward to seeing the full outbreak.
I could have sworn I saw some of the GTTP regulars there. I haven't met anyone, but saw the get together pictures.
We left right around closing and went to the new pizza place at the end of the causeway that replaced Coasters. Not bad. Got to love an 'All You Can Eat' Buffet. We have a large family so I know they lost money on us.
We will be back in two weeks. Hope to see you there.
