Well, they didn't say where they would be relocated to....where's the nearest garbage dump?
I could see these games, if they will be kept, being moved up near the stadium. They would still fit with that area, but I can't think of any other midway where the carni games would fit all that well, at least as stand-alones in the middle of a midway.

My understanding is that they will be 'creating a new plaza of games on the Main Midway stretching from the Ice Cream Parlor to Johnny Rockets.'
Sounds like the area visible in this picture, if you scroll all the way to the right.

that sucks, I do rather like those trees, they help to provide at least some cooling shade, plus I've stopped to rest my feet more than once on those benches.

Wow, the Giant Wheel looks so bare without its gondolas... I haven't seen pictures of that before.

I won't be a happy camper if they get rid of those trees. Isn't the main midway enough of a concrete slab lacking of vegetation already? Those games rarely have anyone playing at them anyway.

I really like the location they decided to put Maxair. This area always seemed dead to me before WT. WT brought some traffic but not as much as I expected it would. The whole area is really coming together. Now, just do away with Disaster Transport and plop in a nice compact wooden twister. Such a waste of beach front space for such an ugly warehouse/so called coaster.
I always found that part of the midway kind of junky. If I could think of a place in the park that was usually considered dirty it would be the stretch from the Main Midway to Disaster Transport same with the area by the exit of Demon Drop. They seem kind of gloomy, if that makes since. If they'd take out that strip of games it'd not only open that area up, but it'd make it where people would notice something is over there. The staff parking lot takes up a lot of room and makes it where the park can't expand out that area which really sucks. I'm not trying to say what they should get or a wishlist thing going, but the staff parking lot could be relocated to the Breakers parking lot area and make a new ride or new sort of midway back there, it would spruce up the front of the park a lot more, Raptor did a great job at that 11 years ago.

Who said they need to remove the trees? There's plenty of room there to put the old stands (or more likely new stands) in between.

That row of games don't just hide the employee parking lot, it also houses the Games and Merchandise offices. If you go on Space Spiral, look down and you are bound to see some kind of activity going on down there.

Jeff said, "I wonder where they'll stick the mechanical building?"
I would hope that it's somewhere off the midway... like behind the games row. But for all i know that may not be possible.
The games really aren't a major investment. Some of the new ones may cost several thousand, but how can a basket with a bunch of softballs be a noticable capital investment. Point being that for some of the games the cost of building the stand will be more than the cost of the games themselves. Really the location of the game is much more important than the game itself.
