Hey, I had this same problem. In fact, this wasn't the only time it had happened with a video link. I was just too lazy to do anything about it before now. What I had to do was completely remove Quicktime from my system, then re-download it. All is well, now! Maybe, this is all you need to do. Worth a shot, anyway.
By the way, I haven't posted for quite some time. Could this be why my password no longer works? I am "The Enthusiast Formerly Known as Dougster".
It's 100% pure and regular QT with a codec that has been shipping with it for years.

I swear, I think Microsoft must include bombs in their hotfixes that randomly damage or destroy QuickTime installations or something. There is just no reason why a program that is installed and working should just randomly stop working.
That said, I have QT 6.5 on the XP box at work, and the Windows System Administrator keeps feeding me patches, and QuickTime hasn't stopped working yet (and it isn't even QT-Pro!). It has to work; most of the stuff I produce these days ultimately comes out in QuickTime...
