Maxair and Gatekeeper

Pyro, how often have you posted in the past 6 months?

Actually made this for another forum awhile back for a similar (mostly) lurker complaining about lack of content.

Anyone see any kind of activity going on with Gatekeeper or Maxair this weekend? I'm hoping with Independence day right around the corner, they'll figure something out.

Here now. Neither running and no signs of any repairs goung on.

Took a walk down the beach boardwalk yesterday and glanced at gatekeeper to see what's going on. There is an extensive amount of equipment on the platform right at the lift engage point and they have a series of pulleys and cables set up around the motor as if they are servicing it. There was not any crew visible when we were on the beach yesterday.

CP rundown reported on Tuesday that a crane was seen working on Gatekeeper.

So Maxair has not even opened yet for the season?

^ That's correct. I don't know why that's not operational. I need some helpful knowledge on Maxair myself.

As of the evening of July 7, Gatekeeper looked to be missing a chain AND a lift motor.

That sounds about right. I wonder what happened to it.

According to CP Rundown, the new chain is on Gatekeeper.

Can confirm. The chain was moving today and ride crew was on site so I would assume testing will begin shortly. I didn't stick around long enough today (left at 5) to see if they ever ended up testing but they also have the entire plaza closed off now.

CP food blog posted today that GateKeeper was testing. They included a screenshot of the web cam showing a train going through the first drop. Hopefully good news.

Friend of mine that works at the park texted me today saying it could open as soon as tomorrow. Fingers crossed as Friday will be my 5th trip of the season and it's been down for the previous 4 so far

I would like to know what's up with Maxair. Nobody seems to have any info on that.

This morning there is still a section of the wall removed from the inside queue of Gatekeeper but there is a train on the track in the station. Keeping fingers crossed. Leaving Saturday.
