MaXair

Is the debate as to what brakes the ride? Because it seems fairly obvious, going by the "whoosh" sound, that the brakes are actuated via compressed air.

Brandon

It's funny how you are arguing about how Skyhawk works in a Maxair thread....:)

They're the same ride anyway.

So any thread about 1 is good for discussion on the other.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Looks like they are doing some work on top Maxair right now if you look at the funcam. :)

Do you guys think the swing amount will still be a little to much compared to its past like it was last year? or do you think it will go back to normal with it fixed.

I'm sure they'll tweak the ride programming a little bit, but I'm not sure how noticeable it will be. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they take a little bit of height off the top swings to lessen the stress on the motor.

I just found out today that maxair will not be open opening day or a few weeks, because my friends employee friend was asking the maintenance workers at the maxair site, and they said the reason was because some of the work crew had to be moved to demon drop and other rides to test them for opening. So there wouldn't be enough people to fix it on time. Just thought I'd tell you guys. :)

Well I'm not going until June 12th so it should be open by then...I hope.

Can anybody else back Miss Maverick 07 up? It's not that i don't trust her, but it's always good to have another person say it.

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

The employee friend works in mercahdising and he was in the park by maxair at the time, so he asked the actual maintenance workers and that's what they said...

Yes, I have heard the same information from an employee. The ride is not fixed yet.

Ride on, MrScott!

And after all T&T told us.. Hmm... I wonder what delayed the repairs.

They did fix it but DK decided to take her down this season instead and build that 320 foot Eltoro MEGA clone. hahaha I am just kidding of course. ;)
