They're doing the job they're told to do. Ignoring them messes up the system...I understand its their job and all that, but again, its not like I'm ruining anyone's day. Typically, I choose a certain row, leaving room in another row, which they'll notice quickly and subsequently fill. I just don't really dig the idea of assigned seating when I'm a paying customer.
Again, you're making that person's job harder. Tell them where you're going to go and they'll be able to figure it out from there. One of the biggest headaches was when I had five groups wanting a specific row and I was left with an empty station with seats waiting to be filled.
