Maverick On-Ride Photo Location?

The Magnum and Mean Streak camera structures are really old but still funtional that's why they didnt replace them when the technology changed.

yeah, but they're still ugly. :)

I don't think Magnum's is bad (as unless you are in the challenge park/ Soak City you only see it for a brief moment) but MS's is a bit ugly.

Its not like its impossible for them to put the camera in the heartline.

I mean, Hydra takes your picture in the jojo roll coming out of the station...granted you're going a lot slower...but still.

I think a double pic would be cool too. One in the heartline and the other at the drop somewhere.

It should be right at the start of the launch, like where the LSMs start.

Double photo, start of the tunnel launch and at one of the air time hills, maybe the hill just prior to the horseshoe roll.

there is my 1/50th of a dollar.

I think there will be 2 camera locations like TTD has.

Wow dj, are you sure? It might be after the brake run and before the first drop:)

See: Son of Beast. ;)

Anyway, I would say somewhere where a lot of people will have thier hands up and aren't terrified, but excited. I think right after the top of the larger airtime bump would be perfect. You'd still be getting over the drop and getting into what should be a great pop of airtime.

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

One thing that people forget since its really as far as the ride goes is not important. But you have to make it somewhat easy to access by the ride photo crew.

Eh, we really dont have to access them a lot and when we do, they usually arent that much of a hassle to get to, no matter where they are.

The ride footprint isn't THAT big. As long as the on-ride photo equipment wasn't placed over water, I'll bet people can get to it easily.

Thrills Around the Corner!

I think it'd be fun over water. I'd rather it be over water than sitting on the midway.

And exactly how many times does Maverick go over the midway?

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I know that Wikipedia isn't very accuarate, but it states Maverick's onride photo section will be while riders are upside down (see trivia section)

What do you all think?

Well that supports the one that's suppose to set at the heartline. So far, Tony said there'd be 2...one being at the heartline. Now lets see if there is indeed going to be 2.

Are you sure Tony said one at the heartline- if so do you remember the post?

Well I think it was Jason who was at the ACE convention where Tony mentioned it.

The photo will be a double exposure, as they do with Dragster. One of them will be in the tunnel, but they're not sure about the second. They are planning to do it while you're inverted in the twist over the water, but apparently that's not final.

Thanks for the clarification Jeff.

I hope it goes though; an inverted photo sure is a positive incentive for guests to buy one. That’s what makes Dragsters soo popular, the double shot.
