Maverick Joe Cool ERT

Sounds like a great day to get back to the park. Great Weather, Magnum's 3rd train should be back, and Maverick night ERT! I will be there in my First Rider T-Shirt. Say hi if you see me. During ERT I will wear my "Buzzer" button so I can stick out like a sore thumb ;)

If you are getting to the park earlier in the day, I am planning on getting to the park between 2:30 and 3. If Magnum is back to being a 3-train people eater, I will be getting multiple laps there, as well as hitting other coasters around the park. I will probably save Maverick for the ERT, as to get the most out of my time. Send me a PM if you want to catch some rides tomorrow as I will be flying solo.

Ask Mark, Adam, Schuyler, or any of the other people I have hung out with at the park... I'm not scary ;)

Now that my youngest niece won't be able to go, I'll be there with the older ones for our ERT. We're making a day of it and we'll be there from 9 AM until whenever we get a few rides on Maverick. I wish I could tell you what we'd be wearing, but I really don't know. There's a change we'll be in our matching blue CP t-shirts. That happens, but the whole matching thing is a little awkward. How long are the waits for ERT's. This is my first one and am not sure what to expect. I'm pretty excited though, it's been years since I've ridden any coasters in the dark. Though I'm not looking forward to the drive home....

You have an hour less than I do to drive, but thats why I'm going later in the day, so I don't wear myself out completely...

From what I have heard, the TTD ERT in May was not very busy at all. I imagine more people will come out to ride Maverick. I wish I knew approximately how many Joe Cool members there were overall...

The ERT session in May wasn't very crowded at all. There were less than 2 Millennium Force trains full. I scored 9 rides on MF during that ERT.

As Josh said, I would guess the turnout will be higher for Maverick, and the fact that school is out now. It's still in the middle of the week though, so it might not be too bad. It will be a late drive home though, but worth it!

Doh! Why was I thinking the first ERT was TTD? My mind is scattered today.

If there were less than 2 trains filled on MF, that would mean less than 72 riders were on the ride at any one time. Maverick can have 72 riders on the ride at any point (6x12)... Im hoping for a similar turn out tomorrow :)

Well, it was supposed to be TTD, but they changed it at the last minute, so I can understand why you thought that.

That's what I'm thinkin Josh. Less than 72....means sit your butt in the train and don't get off for an hour! :) That would be pure Maverick bliss!!

Id even settle for one train waits ;)

hopefully it wont break down it did monday night when i went right before closing because trains couldnt go up the hill so they ran them empty for 20 minutes

Great ERT session. Quite a few more showed up for this one than were there for the MF ERT in May. Still, Josh and I managed 4 rides during the hour. The crew was doing a fantastic job as always.

Can't wait for the Dragster ERT session next month! Yes, you read that right. Since the Dragster ERT session in May was changed to MF, the next ERT session will be switched to Dragster. I asked Tony directly.

Sounds like awesome news Mark! Even though the wife and I traded off watching after our son I still managed to snag 3 rides and the wife got 2 rides (plus she scored a trimless ride on Maggie). These were my first night rides on Maverick and I'm beginning to like the back seat more and more. Although my bruised biceps are saying otherwise!

As for the tunnel... I get it now. That thing is insane at night and with the mist effects its even better!

Yeah, the mist was crazy, especially at night. It's quite cold on your face when you finally clear the tunnel. It will be great for hot July days, I can't imagine it in October!

There were quite a few people there for the ERT, but once we got going, it was pretty much right up the stairs into the station. The only bad part was having to run around the whole ride each time.

Despite only getting 4 hours of sleep last night, it was a great time at the park yesterday. Got 20 rides, including 6 on Maverick from 2 PM on! I'll be getting to writing out a trip report later today. For now I'm focusing on staying awake here at work!

That was great last night. The ride ops were great. Seeing Tony get on that one train was nice. I got 5 rides in, loved them all.

Brian, you must have been close to us. We were getting ready to board when Tony was coming back into the station.

That tunnel is unbelievable. (sp?) So much better than the day time. The night ride on mavi is so much different than the day.

My friend and I got on 4 times. I did not see tony ride. And it was great meeting Ensign smith, and we saw "guest of exceptional size", but did not meet him. I cannot wait until dragster next month. Does anyone have a date on that? So I can request it off.

That was truly amazing last night, I went 6 times and 2 front seats. The tunnel with the blue lights at the side and the mist what a great way to celebrate thJosh what row were you in when Tony got on the ride? I was the next person to get on in the 2nd row of the first car.

I think you may have been in front of us in line, because I think we were in line for the 2nd row of the front train when Tony came back in... I was there with Mark Small and he was in a black Maverick T-shirt, and I was in the First Rider T-shirt. See my profile for a picture of me.

That tunnel puts out more mist than I expected, when we were diving around the pond, you could feel the drips blowing off of the train. I love it though, because you have no idea when you are going to hit that left turn because its so dark and fog/mist-y. I also was amazed how much the camera flash in the S-curve blinds you before that first stengel. It caught me off guard the first time.
