Maverick, A great ride.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say that they enjoy Millennium Force and Maverick because they don't feature the slow accent up the first hill.

The vertical chain lift found on Fahrenheit at Hersheypark is an interesting concept. I wouldn't be surprised to see that come to CP in the future.

yeah im sure that will come soon with there pattern of a new coaster every 2-3 years

^Hmm, so youre saying that 1 hour 45 min<1 hour 30 min? Read the quote again, Ill blame this on the mid day Sunday brain slow down ;).

I havn't got the chance to ride Maverick yet. What are the "wierd restraints" like? And is it a rough ride at all? I also miss the clank clank clank of the roller coasters. Magnum is my all time favorite, so maybe that's why I miss it...because everytime I hear it it reminds me of Maggie.

The restraints on Maverick stick out further than more typical ones, which can make for some head banging through some of the more extreme transitions - the curves through the canyon after the first hill and the pseudo-inversions beyond the pond seem to be the most problematic.

The ride can be rough - I noticed last year during ERT that the rear of the train can be pretty bad if the wheels are in rough shape. Other than that, though, its remarkably smooth, fast and quiet.

The lift hill, while missing the 'clank' noise, is awesome. Its amazing how quickly you ascend the hill, and the way it tosses you over the top really makes for an excellent start to the ride.
