Married Housing

None of the posts I found on here were very detailed when discussing this. Has anyone here done it? I've heard you go in a bayside one-bedroom, or perhaps into an A-Frame (which I've never been in)...how much does it cost to do it, and do they fill up fast? And what's it like in the A-Frames? If anyone's done it, tell me anything you can, please...thanks!

Married housing is in Bayside. The cost is the same as regular housing. It fills VERY quickly, in fact it may be filled already. The apartments are no different from the rest of Bayside with the exception being only you and your spouse present. (Both you and your spouse must be Cedar Point seasonal employees)

The A-Frames are part of Hotel Breakers and are rented to guests and other various visiting dignitaries.

Except in periods of EXTREME housing overload (e.g. summer of 2001) employees are usually not in the Condos or A-Frames.

Personally.. I'd call housing on this one. I've known one couple who lived in the married housing. Never really asked them much about it.

Edit: Glad you added the part about both having to be CP employee's. I remember someone last year screaming bloddy murder because thier spouse couldn't move in with them after making the trip to CP with them. They were just going to hang out for the summer.

Yes thats correct. You BOTH must be CP employees and you of course have to prove a legal marriage. The A-Frames are for our CORPORATE families and friends only. Bayside usually sets aside a few "married rooms" in the 800 building. The cost is/was $24 per week. :)))

Yeah, we're both returning employees, so that's all capiche.

Thanks for the help on everything :-) We'll probably be calling about a room Monday when we find out other personal details about this summer.

I lived in married housing and it was great! YOU HAVE YOUR OWN BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!! Last year most of the married housing was reserved for the Snoopy Rocks on Ice performers. They took up so many of the housing units in Bayside, many married couples were being put up in the new dorms (1500 building). After waiting about 2 to 3 weeks, a spot at Bayside opened up for us. They offered us one of the emplyee housing units at Breakers, but it was smaller than the dorm rooms. Make sure you contact Housing immediately and inform them you are coming. This way, even if the married housing units at Bayside are reserved, you are on the list if one opens up. To tell you the truth, when my wife and I moved into married housing in 2001 and 2002 they just took our word for it that we were married. They never did ask to see a marrige certificate like they said they were going to. Hope you and your wife have a great summer!
