So, I'm planning on going to Cedar Point sometime this month with one of my friends, and I'm wondering about the Maples Motel.
I went to Cedar Point 2 summers ago with my parents and we stayed there, but that was with my parents, so they took care of everything. I'm 18 and wondering about planning out what needs to be done. Can I book a room if I'm 18?
Also, any other tips about the motel or suggestions? I know the trains suck, but it's close to the park and cheap.

I'm not sure how old you have to be to book a room there. I would assume 21, but it may be 18. You can ask for earplugs for the trains when you check in. Don't forget to grab some donuts in the morning before you check out :) I stayed there last year, and although they were incredibly friendly, and the room was fine, the trains drove me crazy... even more than at Bayshore.
Their website has more info, and their phone number so you could always call to see what the minimum age is

Don't forget to take Daisy for a walk/out to play. She's a sweet dog, and will even come to your room with you and watch TV while laying on your bed. :)
I really need to get up there and stay again this year.

Ok, so even if the age is 21 for booking a room, can I still have a parent book the room even though they won't be staying there?
And Yes, the trains were loud, but I'm a heavy sleeper and I slept right through them last time, but I don't know about my friend. haha

Ken and Joan are good people, If your quiet and don't make any fuss you should be alright. She won't even ask for your age I bet.

The hotel has a dog that wanders around?
She doesn't wander around, she usually stays inside the office/house but is always there to greet you when you go inside for a donut or coffee or whatever.
If you're like me, and love dogs, she will be your best friend/ I have a picture of her chilling on my hotel room bed somewhere around here.
It may not be the "nicest" place around, but it's super clean, comfortable, and run by 2 of the nicest and most welcoming/accommodating people you will ever meet. Not to mention one of their decorative/framed photographs of Raptor was taken and donated to them by a VERY talented photographer. ;-)

I sent an email last year asking if being 18 was alright and she said it wouldn't be a problem. I'm sure you'll be fine.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
