I find it funyn all the peopel talking about the "head bashing" I have NEVER had that problem.. and being almost 6'5" you'd think I'd have that problem.
Ride the ride.. don't fight it..

MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - 73 laps as of (6/9/01)
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100
Yeah, Mantis has a good layout, and it is fun, but I want to have kids...
I'd wait 45 min.

Wow, a whole 100 laps on Gemini...Weaklings... Try 13 on Corkscrew! ;)
Screw laps: 13 and counting
I'd have to say Mantis is worth ANY wait ;) Ahh... if only that trim wasn't on the drop. I can't wait until the bonus weekends, when I attempt to ride it *ALL* day. You wanna talk about marathons!

"Did I mention that..."
LOL Intamin2k, that was good. I'd say Mantis is worth about a 45 minute wait. Sure it hurts a little, but I still like it. I think I would enjoy it more if the "seat" were just a little bit lower. But hey, it's still one sweet ride.

At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs.
Mantis is a great ride. I hit my head once going through the corkscrew (I think I can handle that). The three loops on it are some of the best that I have ever been on in the same ride.

magnum or MF now that is a real question.... final anwser magnum
I'd have to check my TR from last year, but I waited for Mantis last year with the whole queue full and the wait was 1 1/4 hours. Really not that back considering how many people were in the queue.
I thought about how pathetic it was seeing the empty queue at Coastermania compared to the full queue of last year--and how I had to wait that long.
I love the ride persoanlly, but it needs a PAINT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so faded and some parts or it are rusted, great ride, but do to Mantis what you did to Raptor this off-season!
30min.
You know, it's weird, I've never had a problem on Mantis.
'course, I don't do *anything* they tell you to do on the instructions. I bend my knees, keep my feet slightly forward, rest some weight on the seat, and lean forward. Whatever I do, it works.
