How long of a line do you think Mantis is worth? I would wait 30 min. and maybe 45 - 1 hour depending on what I had rode already that day.
When do you like to ride it?
I like to ride in the morning, following Millennium Force.
Better at night?
Do you like to ride this coaster at night rather than day? I have never riden at night

Don't let life fly by.
I think it's worth about a 45 minute wait, but like you said, if I've already ridden everything else, I'll wait a bit longer.
My favorite time to ride is during the summer craptacular when the majority of people plant themselves in front of the screen. I've found the line to be no longer than 15 minutes at this point. On several occasions I've walked directly on (and some of these were in July/August).
And to answer the last question, yes i think it's better at night. This is mostly due to it's largely unlit layout.
I can imagine the bugs at night!

I run to MF when they open the gate, then I hop on over to Mantis!

Let's Go Pens!
Well the ride may be worth an hour wait, you can get it for a steel a couple hours before the Laser Show.

Gemini 100: 100
mantis (my least favorite ride in the whole 67 roller coaster i've been on) i wouldnt wait more than 10 mins for it.
-------------
magnum or MF now that is a real question.... final anwser magnum
I would wait about 20-35 min for this ride, the only time i will ride it is early in the day before my legs blow out from walking.
I'm with cplove. I wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes. I've slammed my head into the restraint enough times to make me hate it. I'll ride it if a friend comes with us and wants to ride it. Other than that I'd ride late on a Sunday night when it's a walk on......

Get with it or die in the process.....
i really dont like mantis, unless its virtually a walk on i wont ride it.
it being my #1 ride in the park... I'll wait up to abotu 1 1/2 hours..
-------------
MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - 73 laps as of (6/9/01)
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100
I'll wait up if the line looks from anywhere up to 1 hour. More, then I'll wait until later. On my first visit to the park. I have seen Mantis on America's Greatest RCT 2 and it looks like fun. I've been on some head bangers that I still love (as long as you know where to tilt your head).
I can't unstand how you guys get your head slammed into the OTSR. Do you actually hold your heads back like the misleading instructions say to? Whenever you ride Mantis, lean into the harness so your shoulders can absorb the intensity.
I have tried everyway to ride that thing and i dont' think a coaster is worth havening to work so hard to enjoy it
I don't know about that. The sudden switches from left to right seem awesome. I don't see how a coaster can do that and NOT be bumpy. .
I'm with R.G. Rob on this, an hour and 1/2 wait seems pretty good for Mantis.

AKA...Somewhatchewy
Ditto with Rob and Incline Looper.
I ride Mantis directly after MF!Thats the best!Work your way around.......:)
-------------
Cedar Point.....HOLD ON!!
I love Mantis! As long as you know the right way to ride it, it is really a great coaster, IMHO. How can you not like that huge vertical loop, the diving loop, ah I would wait 1 1/2 like Rob, Incline, and CP_bound.

Steuks!!
The first half of the Mantis is great... but the last half hurts! By then your legs are aching and your head is being bashed around from left to right.
I don't think it's worth more than a half-hour wait.
WHERE is Mantomatic to reply?!
