Is it really that important to you to prove yourself right against popular opinion on the Internet that you go out of your way and research in copies of old newspapers that you need to request from a newspaper? Wow.

Actually, the scalping incident did occur, just not at CP. A girl really did get her hair caught and part of her scalp was ripped off. It happened on a flat ride similar to Himalaya at an indoor amusement park in Massachusetts. She lived, but has had 4 bouts of reconstructive surgery. I just don't know how the rumor got started that it happened on Power Tower.
