I think TTD went down alot over the weekend because of high winds.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Yeah, I saw that pink mohawk guy yesterday on Magnum. I was a little surprised, though, because he was sitting in the back seat. Odd not just because he was sitting in 6-3 instead of 1-3, but because the broken wheel was on the second axle, not the 12th. :)

What's with that guy, anyway? Every time he shows up, something breaks. :)

Are you all talking about a big guy- pink mohawk and pink goatee?

Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?

Hehe, I saw that guy over the weekend as well. Kind of sticks out doesn't he?
Yes. Big guy, pink mohawk, pink goatee, and a nasty habit of breaking Magnum.

But then, he rides Magnum more than I do, so perhaps it isn't that much of a surprise.

The pink mohawk guy! I see him almost everytime I go on the weekends... Is he jinxed maybe? lol
Yeah,I heard he was the one that broke the chain on Chang.

it was weird for him to riding in back compared to the usual 1-3. Must have been sick! :)

Wow! I thought it was a fluke that I got to see the pink mowhawk guy last weekend! Everywhere I looked, there he was. For a moment I thought he might be following me. He's an excellent speed-walker.

The sight of him made me feel better about myself as I was wearing flight goggles on all the coaster I rode, making myself an embarassment to my group.

Not to say that Mr. Pink Mowhawk should be embarassed, only that he drew attention, which I guess I might have as well.

Who are you Mr. Pink Mowhawk?

On topic now..I rode Mantis on Sunday afternoon and found it to be an enjoyable ride. Usually I cringe when I ride it and find myself walking funny afterwards. This ride was smooth sailing and non-crotch bumping!

Are you guys talking about Jerry?
On Monday(5-24) Mantis was running wonderfully. Thank goodness for Freeway because that line was very long, and that was with a 2 train operation. We had a perfect front car ride with the trims off the first drop which I am sure was wind related. If you are going to ride Mantis get the Freeway stamp and wait for the front car. It is so much smoother up there it's like you're on a different ride. Regardless of where I sit, I'll always love Mantis!

I guess that means that they successfully replaced the problem part on the lift (and no, it wasn't the chain).

Well if it is working then i guess so.

I wonder if they borrowed the motor from DT? ;)

Yes, the Pink mohawk guy is me. :)

Light pink now. Faded quite a bit from being out in park last weekend.

Hey Candy Man! That is some crazy hair you are sporting! I rode on the Magnum twice with you last week. After the first time we were walking behind you, back around to the entrance and you took a little shortcut behind the concession stand and we though "Man, that guy is an EXPERT!" We were very impressed! You're our hero!

Is the hair always pink?

Pleased to meet you finally Candy Man!! I'm sure ill see you in the park this weekend...On Magnum no less ;-)
On Sat, May 29 at around 8pm I noticed that Mantis had a train stuck on the lift hill. They actually had to let people off the train!

What I found truly amazing was that even though the day was essentially over, the maintainence team got it up and running by 9:30, and the crew actually re-opened the ride for the last half-hour! Most parks wouldn't have bothered reopening for only a half hour.

Cedar Point consistantly amazes me!
