Mail when living in CP housing

So, before I leave for CP, I have to notify a few people of my new address and such. Umm... if mail just has my name on it and the Cedar Point Drive address, will it get to me?

You can pick up your mail at the Rec Center in Commons.

I hated the Rec Center. The employees were always so mean.

My roommate last year waited nearly a month for a check he was expecting from home. They finally found it in the foods warehouse under a pallet of bottled water. Funny yet terrible at the same time.

^Very true.I have seen the inner workings of the mail service at Cedar Point. Its because of the laziness in Employee Housing that mail sometimes can take forever to reach you. What normally will take 2 to 3 days will take 2 weeks.

It's terribad, my suggestion, forward your mail somewhere else, it'd be a shame for something important to get sucked into the black hole.

Back in the 70s, the Post Office was in the Cedars and operated by a wonderful retired couple. They knew us all by name. If we had mail waiting and failed to stop and check, they would call out to us if they saw us walking by. The mail service has obviously gone way downhill since then.

so can i have my mail forwarded to a nearby post office? it would be extremely sucky if my mail was lost in a "black hole"! :)

Technically yes. Just go to the Sandusky Post Office and rent a mail box for the time you are at Cedar Point. You can also rent a mail box at any UPS or FedEx Kinko's store.
