Magnum's station???

Now I get why everyone likes 1-3, it is great and I walked right on today. Gotta love the people who wait for the front and block off that row.

Hi vince,

how do you go past these people who block the row?

"Is this the line for the front seat? Good, then if I can just slide past, I'm sitting *there*..."

That's exactly what I did Dave and it worked like a charm. What time did you see that around RJason?

No one answered my question. Does it take a few years before you can get experience to design something such as a coaster or the station? I quoted from Bluestreak64 of what he said that made me ask this question.

I was there too that day and didn't see an op up there, but I rode it earlier in the day, I think it was around 12. They must have put an op there when it got busier.

I saw Mr. Hildebrant on the exit side of the platform the other day... I just figured he was hanging out with the extremely cool Magnum Crew because they're so cool. Especially that Adam guy. But really, I think he may have been looking for spots for little bins for peoples' items. Though, that wouldn't really work too well for the front car since the control booth is right next to it.

There's only one, logical conclusion: The control booth will be placed ABOVE the first car.

It's obvious that the Magnum itself isn't sinking, but the platform seems to be. Cracks here and there worry me and that means the entire platform will be redesigned by next year. Including the control booth which will be moved up a story.

It's also obvious that I have no clue what I'm talking about. Other than that I KNOW the station will be redone for next year. A sweet 17 present perhaps?

When will then be now?!
Soon.

Sounds like something more state-of-art design. Is this something that will be mentioned when Cedar Point tells what they are getting for next season in November? I'm sure they'll probably tell us whatever the new rollercoaster will be as well.

I've heard rumors that when the ride was originally built, the control booth was to be placed above the train so the operator could look down on the train as it was exiting. But of course, that plain is said to have been scrapped due to you guessed it... BUDGET CUTS! :)

A new control booth would definitely be a good thing if done properly. The current booth leaks, is hot, and has poor sightlines.

Do they get any circulation of air in there at all?
