My name is Brian. I got my contract in the mail today and lo and behold - I'll be on the record-breaking Magnum XL-200 for a second season in a row! It'll be my third season working at the Point. You guys don't know it yet, but Magnum is definitely the most fun coaster to work in in the park! It's fast-paced, you don't have to deal with large guests very often (if ever if you're good enough at buckling those seat belts like I am!) trimless test rides, track walks to retrieve the 50 lost cell phones every day, running out to safeties, fabulous 80s music, the best steel coaster ever built, and a zero-minute line at closing! It's gonna be the best summer ever, and we have a kick-booty ATL! LOVE YOU ZACH! See you all in May!
Feel free to AIM me: southpuddle or look me up on Facebook: Brian Westbay (I'm the only one)

Wow. I definitely had to make a comment about the efficiency, speediness and overall excitement of the Magnum crew on Saturday May 24th. They were going for the record number of rides and on that night it was walk-on the entire time. They were running down the trains checking belts and bars as fast as I've ever seen done anywhere. It was awesome. Yelling and just going at full speed like their lives depended on it. True dedication. This energy also helped make the riders go fast as well.
They tried to continue this the following night but the crew that night didn't have any speed or care. It was a damn shame. The platform was always clogged up and the ride ops were covered in sweat. Physically unable to handle the task. Bummer.
Thanks to all who made Saturday night really, really fun. I had 4 rides in a row and then you guys broke the record. No line. Ever. That night at least.
I was there Sunday around closing and you guys were trying to get as many people in as possible to hit your highest numbers of the season. That's awesome! Keep up the good work, and try to keep your enthusiasm as the season goes on.
If you keep it up, you should be #1 for rides given this season. If you really want to be ambitious, try and overtake my crew's 2004 numbers...good luck with that. ;)
