Magnum was red? I always thought it was orange. The paint job looks great.

Yeah they said it was going to be a Moly Orange, maybe once we see it on May 7th, it will appear Orange. It looks great I'll agree on that. My question is how do they paint the top of the hills like the lift hill, the second hill where there is no rails and stairs?
Jet packs. :)
But seriously,
Good question. It'd have to be similar to the way they did ID's tallest points(besides the lifts), only on a bigger scale......a much bigger scale. *** Edited 4/5/2005 5:15:48 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

I'd have to assume there is a cherry picker that they use to get to those higher points. Probably something similar to how they got to those higher points of track on Raptor and Mantis.

Of all the amazing engineering marvels you're wondering how they paint things <205 feet in the air?

Does anyone know if there will be an update this week of Magnums Painting? I really am axious to see more of Magnum, but if not I guess I'll have to ride it to find out.
I was at the park to get my season pass processed yesterday, and as we were leaving, we decided to drive back on the perimeter road, and Maggie looks wonderful in her new paint job. To me it seemed that the color looked very similar to last year's, only not faded at all. However, in spots where there was a bunch of "moly orange" paint (i.e. transfer area), the track seemed to have more or a red appearance. In any case, she looks great with her new coat of paint!
