Magnum Mania 9/7 2000 + 47

At 4:15pm I was on the Magnum lift for the 2000th time since May 17th 1997.  Combined I got 64 laps on Magnum, one insane Vertigo ride, three on Raptor and two on Blue Streak to visit Richie.

There is no real reason to talk about the details of today's MM nothing new to report.

I just want to take the opportunity to thank a few people;

Jeffrey Spartan for the shirt he had made for my 2000th ride, it said Mr 2000 on the front and the back said "plus I was on the disocery channel."

Everyone in park op and marketing, supervisors, team leaders and everyone else who have been so kind, generous, and carring over the years. 

Jerry for the Magnum lighter he gave me tonight, and the countless memories on Magnum.

Mr. Edwards for the coaster video and the original Magnum press kit from 1988 in MINT condition.

The Magnum crew memembers from the past five years that have put up with me. 

I would also like to thank Jeff Putz, without this little website he started I would not have made the great friends that I have made.  Also due to this site I have gained a ton of extra media attention and attention from the park that I would have not gotten in the first place so I do want to give Jeff a very special thank you.  Jeff has spent countless hours working on these sites and he deserves a ton of credit and thanks.

In the next few weeks I will write a huge mega TR about the 2000th ride.

Yup Dan, and no one could miss you in your bright orange shirt, lol. "Hurry Dan or we are going to leave you!" lol, do you have a stash of drinks and food behind the support pole in the station? ;)

(There were some other people with you and I forgot their names here, but this is the person that said I have to make a new name.)

Way to go Dan!  Believe it or not, I was there for your 2000th ride.  I was the guy screaming and yelling WAY TO GO DAN, AWESOME... etc. etc.  I couldn't believe when I walked onto the platform to hear, "And congratulations Dan on your 2000th ride"  (was that Jeffrey Spartan on the train with you?)

Way to go I knew you could do it.  You are truly a warrior how you rode it so many times on Thursday and Friday I'll never know.  I'm glad I got the opportunity to join you for quite a few of those laps this season. 

BTW to all who could'nt be there Magnum was running in insane mode Thursday evening.

Dan, I think you need to add "I want to be a TL when I grow up!" to your signature. That definitely generated a few laughs (and maybe a couple dirty looks) in the Magnum station on Thursday. ;)
