Magnum Mania 9/6

Millennium what?  Its hard to pick an all time favorite day that I have ever had at the park but today would fall in the top three.  Everything from a near rollback to getting to do the speil for my 81st lap of the day it was awesome.
I got to the front gate around 2:15, and around 2:30 or so they handed out our wrist bands and MF ride coupons.  Met up with Hooper and after the national anthem was played we entered the park and made a B line towards Magnum.
RG Rob was already on platform as he entered through the Magnum gate which I was told will be open tommarow night.  For the entire day the ride was running great.  We only had to walk around twice and after that it was reride after reride after reride.
They opened the ride with three trains.  On my 9th ride I was sitting with Hooper, I think we were sitting in 22 of the black train.  When we came over the third hill I noticed that the trims were on.  I didn't think it was a big deal, we went through the trims and it was loud,  the trims were on full pressure.  We are going through the first part of the turnaround and I was like !@#$%^ we are going to rollback.  I could not beleive how slow the train was, it was the slowest return run I have ever had on Magnum.  It had a crazy time of 67 seconds!
Shortly after that they took the black train off and only ran the devil train and the blue train.  They closed the ride three times, once to transfer black off, and twice to change bad road wheels on the devil train.
For the day I clocked in 81 laps and I am only 17 laps away from the magic number of 2000.
All in all it was a great day filled with great times and I want to thank CP for putting on such a wonderful event.
I also want to thank Hooper for some great, great laughs, so he will be riding 2000 with me in spirit tommarow.  I should hit 2000 around 4:30 tommarow.
I can't beleive I get three more days like this.
thanks CP!

Yeah, Oscar was great!

I got there at about 2:45. I saw Joe E and someother person (never did figure out who he was.) When the gates opened we went to Blue Streak since Raptor wasn't open. Got 3 laps there. Raptor opened so we went over there. 3 laps! Next we went to Mantis. 2 laps which was enough cause I had a headache. Power tower was next. 1 on each side. Finally, we went to Magnum. When we got to there the trims were open. Best 15 rides on Magnum! Then I left and went to VertiGo. 13 launches! 2 of them with Rob. Both times we did Cosmic Flip where he had the huge harness and they hardly put the pins in. He really was hanging out of his seat! I'm looking foward to tonights MANIA!

Oscars best lines of the night :

"You may exit to your right.  But you won't ... because you are addicted and can not get off.  But you must get off ... and go home.  This train will not take you home"

By the end of the night, Magnum was giving incredibly fast rides.  The trim brake was either off or barely catching.

It was funny on VertiGo! Dorian (from Millennium) was at controls and when he was spieling he was calling the ride, "Vertical!" The regular ops were always yelling it's VertiGo, it says it on the ride! VertiGo will be fun tonight!

Yes, Rob, you are in love with those x-tra large harnesses. Especially when you are sitting on the half circle on the seat while you are at the top and a silver tag is watching you, sees that you did that, shakes his head, and walks away!
