A lot of people probably already know this, but while i'm walking under part of Magnum a couple days ago in Soak City, I hear an awful noise that sounds like it could break apart any second. And also, not on this topic but does anyone else notice after a TTD train goes up the track wiggles a lot? Like sways back and forth.
Cedar Point is undoubtedly amazing.
Yeah, everyone who doesn't know a lot about coasters thinks that. When I took my sis on Maggie for the first time she was flipping out because of those noises. :) Don't worry, it's normal. It could also be the anti-rollbacks you are hearing. Neither Magnum or TTD are going to fall apart.
Both TTD and Wicked Twister sway a bit, because if they didn't there would be too much tention and they would snap.
I have learned that on this site. I do not know to much about why. So if someone else wants to elaborate for him, be my guest. :)

Magnum sounds just like it did when it opened. Oh, and they replaced the rails on the first drop a couple of years ago.

Tell you what, when you grow up to be 420 feet tall, you try standing still while a 5.3 ton train comes straight at you at 120 mph. ;)

Sounded fine on my 37 laps this weekend. And the crew is doing a great job compared to last year. It was great to see Magnum being run the way it is supposed to. I swear I could sit in that plaza and just watch it all day. There's almost always a train on the course and on the lift. That ride just makes me happy in a way that I'll never be able to really explain. :)
I predict that last tree standing after the safeties is going to bite the dust by the end of the season though. :( They just need to trim it back a little because it was hanging pretty close to the train after the rain, but I fear they'll chop it down like they have all the other ones.

^ I know what you mean about Magnum making you happy in a way you can't explain. I feel the same exact way. :) When we went to CP last, the lines were long, so my sis and I got limited riding time. We skipped Maggie because she hates it. I really regret it now, a lot! I just want to take a trip back to CP so that I can ride Magnum the entire time.
I noticed too how they always seem to have a train running. We parked in Soak City parking lot, and sat in the car when we ate. It was the best view to watch people enjoying their ride on Maggie. It's going to be a sad day when Magnum sinks into Lake Erie. ;)

I love the fact that Magnum's entrance is somewhat hidden instead of being some gigantic neon sign telling people to ride it, which means it's less noticable, which means more rides for me. ;)

^They should do no such thing, thats a unique lift sound...
If by unique you mean just like every other Arrow coaster made in the span of 25 years, sure.

It's a VERY LOUD CHAINLIFT ANTIROLLBACK SYSTEM. The day before opening day, me and my friend went to ride things in challenge park (except Skyscraper) and rode ripcord, and then went over to do grand prix go-carts. When we were at the window paying for the discount with our plat.passes, the girl at the window talked to us just as magnum had a super loud train going up the hill. So basically, we could not hear a word she said to us as we were at the window. She had to repeat it then we went to do the cars!!
