This looks bigger then I envisioned it. I hope it looks alright during the day, as I wasn't aware that there was going to be structures in-front of WildCat.
That said, going strictly by the video, it looks like an energetic show that should be fun. I just wish they would've picked some better music for the video advertising it lol
I like it but it just seems out of place. Its going to completely block Iron Dragon almost. It's just very different.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
All it is going to block is the transfer and the queue which isn't much to look at anyway. The best view of Iron Dragon will still be viewable.
I think we should wait until a human actually sees it in action before making too much judgement. It's impossible to get a completely real-feel from that animation. I am mainly curious about what is up during the day vs. erected in the evening...but I thought I read somewhere that the stage is going to be used throughout the day for Peanuts stuff, etc...so perhaps it's just all up?
Keep in mind this is becoming "Celebration Plaza"...the midway as you knew it is gone (thank God)...no more big screen, etc...pavers....curvy midway....new lighting....it's all getting an overhaul.
Promoter of fog.
The show seems very cool. The only thing is the show being produced by an outside company. That isn't a bad thing; but in the past when CP does this (Rock Band Live), the shows/events are good but very out of place. I am very happy to hear the Starlight Experience will still be apart of the lineup. I can't wait to see the show!
I'm not sure what everyone else thought about Rock Band Live (out of place or whatnot) but I thought it had some potential even though it ultimately failed to prove itself. Which is sad since I and some other Point Buzzers were the very first people to actually take part in the show and seemed to have received positive reactions by the executives that watched it. However, Luminosity on the other hand, seems like it'll have a WAY better outcome than RB Live.
And Kevinj, don't forget this is PointBuzz. The site where users rival in passing premature judgement. :)

I think this is exciting. I see it as a giant party. I like to party. :)

I just hope there is room for Iron Dragon to still do it's final swing into the station without hitting the stage. Wouldn't that be something! Anyway though, looking at the webcam though, looks as if they're planning on tearing up the whole midway right there. I hope they have some kind of path paved by time opening day comes.
^ I am pretty sure that swing happens within the area that the transfer track is, and this stage would not be in that area. :P I think the whole midway is getting redone to give it that curvy look that everyone here is quite happy about, I am sure that they will have that area done by opening day though.

This show will be a HUGE hit with teens and young adults! I think this is one of the park's best investments since Maverick in '07.
I wonder how long guests will be allowed to stay and party with the DJs. By everything I have heard, the DJs will start when the park closes.
Let's Get Weird.
Does anyone have a link to the overhead site plan drawing? Im pretty sure I remember seeing one floating around a few weeks ago
SmallDunk, is this what you are talking about??

My guess is there will be a "soft" ending time, meaning it'll end whenever they decide the crowd has dwindled enough to end it.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I wonder how the bypass will work that they where talking about...For those of us who just want to get to Millie while the party is going on.
I'll be Coasting for Kids on June 9th

Perhaps there will be a fence on the opposite side of the midway similar to the one that was on the Iron Dragon side. Or, maybe temp fencing will be put up every night. Or, maybe just lots of extra security, which probably wouldn't be a bad idea anyway.

^I am guessing it will be the same as it was in previous years only on the WildCat side. They will probably utilize the Ride Hosts from Iron Dragon and WildCat for crowd control.
Something else that is not getting much attention...
For this show, Iron Dragon will have to go down when they blow pyro.
But once that part of the show is over, for the bulk of the midway party, Iron Dragon Wildcat should be able to operate! If they actually do it that way, it will be a huge improvement over what they've done for the last 17 years...!

I may have already said this here somewhere, but I'm very interested in the start and end times, and I think they need to be clearer.
If this is going to be something that continues on a couple hours after the park's official close, then people might need alternate plans for staying at a resort, hotel, etc.
Maybe the park itself doesn't really know and is just seeing how it plays out before calling any times.
