I love how he is planning a concert venue. Louies would get busted all the time for noise complaints from the patio speakers. Plus what it sounds like he is planning is going to take up more room then what there is. Guess we'll see.
yeah, I cant picture a venue that houses 800-1000 people. Where will these people park? Unless the thinking is the shows would solely attract CP staff. Concerts would have to start at 11:30, 12 and end at 1:30. Not too sure about that. But this so called venue would take up all of the space , unless they tear down and build something that is 3-4 floors high.
Either way I'm sure the new owners are thinking big and want the visiting guests along with the CP staff crowd. Which equals nothing but trouble. CP employees, I'm sure, don't want to be seen drinking and being crazy, then see the same guests at work the following day. Or should I say morning. Which if recognized would equal an awkward moments. Let alone stalking for some staff, and additional complaints if a staff member decides to hit on or hook up with a guest. Many bad things can happen.
But the key thing would be the underage factor. We all know what goes on at Louie's wasnt always within the laws. I can't imagine the new owners risking their new investment by allowing the underage to go wild. ESPECIALLY if they allow the visiting public to join in the festivities. Those people can't walk home, and it would only take ONE bad thing involving them driving to destroy the business.
Just my views on the matter.

The guy who bought it also owns a popular bar/club in Allentown, PA. He also runs Fancy Pants Productions- they do the live shows for some of the Cedar Fair parks.
So, what's the status of Louie's currently.
Last time I drove by, it looked exactly the same. Has the new owner done anything on the inside? And did they open the doors to everyone?
I'm hoping they kept it employee/member only.
Inside is totally redone, along with the patio area being expanded and more parking added. Doors are open to everyone, esp. during the off-season.
The inside is quite a bit nicer and more open since they tore down some walls, although they really should have gutted and re-done the bathrooms. The patio is huge now. Prices went up slightly, but not a lot. Other than that, it's pretty much the same.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Hopefully they get better bands and entertainment next summer. The bands we nothin to dance or fist pump to ( :D ) and they tried to have a magician one night and that went ok. The only thing that was good that night was that you got in free.
