Lost and Found

Anyone have any experiences recovering cell phones from lost and found? I got halfway home to Brunswick this afternoon before realizing I didn't have my work cell phone. I think it's sitting in one of the Demon Drop cars getting thrashed around unless someone has found it by now. I filed a report over the phone but I'm half tempted to just drive back before the park closes at 7.

I lost my wallet opening night and they haven't been able to recover it. If you lost a phone along the tracks it is very hard for anyone but an employee to get it, and they will most likely find your phone when they walk the track.

Its a theme park and people will gank things.

Well, my phone is now in the custody of CP Lost and Found and they are shipping it to me tomorrow. How about that for customer service! Thanks CP!

I first lost a phone on Raptor and never had it recovered.

A few years later, lost a phone on Magnum and I went to the lost and found and acurately described it and drew a picture of it. A few days later I received my phone in the mail. It had sand all over it. Guess it fell out during the pretzel loop. I had a few scratches on it that made it unique so I guess they ID'd it easily. Long story short, I either leave my phone in the car or wear cargo pants/shorts.

My boyfriend accidently left his wallet at the Park Plaza shop on Tuesday, good news is that they found it right away and shipped it as soon as possible. We should have it back by the weekend hopefully, without the contents in it, we can't buy food or gas.

I lost my wallet in the Magnum area a few years back. I didn't realize I had dropped it for a couple of hours, and figured it was loooong gone.

Without much hope, I stopped by the Police/Lost & Found office on the side of the Main Arcade building. I told Sgt. Gilson that I had dropped my black nylon tri-fold wallet, and he simply asked: "Did it have $63 in it?" as he handed me my wallet with my ID rubber-banded to the outside.

You won't always get your lost stuff back, but there are still plenty of honest folks out there.

Beacause i don't feel like carrying my purse around and paying to put it in a locker i decided i would carry my cellphone and cash. A couple hours in I went to pay for an Icee and whoops no cash! Though i still don't bring my purse to cp, I do make sure that my back pockets have a button flap! Lesson learned

Fanny packs are the way to go in an amusement park. They may look geeky but they keep things safe. I also carry plastic bags in my fanny pack so if I go on a water ride I can keep stuff dry. I wear an insulin pump and the plastic bags keep it dry. I'm sure they would work for cell phones as well.

All I have to say is, cargo pants/shorts with ZIPPERED pockets. I don't trust anything else.

But that doesn't help if you leave your wallet somewhere (Sorry LadyJ).

Well, we had a fanny pack, but my boyfriend used his back pocket for his wallet, he was in a hurry to leave the store (which is why he left it there). Hopefully we have it back by this weekend, we are running out of food quick, and gas for our cars at that.

I'm just glad they found it right away and mailed it off as soon as they could.

^^ But has anyone here ever lost anything out of a cargo pocket which wasn't zippered?

I have button down ones, and I haven't lost anything yet.

Of course more often then not I end up having my hands on them most of the ride just to make sure, and even if I don't, I defiantly check my pockets after riding in the break run.

We got his wallet back in the mail today with everything (including the cash) inside of it.. thanks Cedar Point!! :)

Congrats. They came through for you. :)

And yeah, I usually obsessively check my pockets anyway, so I'm not worried about leaving without realizing I'm missing something. Kinda like a car accident, you just wanna keep things from happening in the first place.

Yes. My boyfriend and I rode Raptor and he lost his cell phone on it. :( I guess it was our dumb mistake though of not getting a locker or something. We searched for it and went to lost and found, but they never recovered it.

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

My first time on Raptor the year it first opened my size 16 nike shoe came off at one point during the ride and fell into the queue line below. (The line was always full that first year).
The folks in line passed it down to the station and I was able to recover it when I got off.

If you don't have zipped pockets for you phone, just kinda wrap you pant leg around you thigh so you are somewhat sitting on your phone. It works great for me.

Well, I think my lost story take the cake.

It has to do with Mantis, a retainer, and the water underneath it.......I had it in my pocket instead of wearing them like I should have. On the way to the front of the park, I noticed something that looked like my retainor case unter the loop in the water. I checked my pockets and the "O crap!" moment kicked in. I did not even report it because I had to get a new set the fallowing week anyway.

When I went to the orthodontist he asked me if I had a good time at Cedar Point, and he knew I wasn't wearing them for a week. Cedar Point mailed them to him because it had his name and address on the back of the case. Good job CP....

Oops. I meant to ask whether anyone who had a cargo pocket which wasn't of the zipper variety, i.e. button or Velcro, lost anything out of their pocket.
