Looking for ice cream at the park

And the train fits in nicely with the new Maverick theme....hmmm....the "legend" does say Maverick has been lurking around the point for quite sometime....

On a serious note, the only "ice cream" that cuts it for me at the Point is the frozen custard in FT. Every visit that is a must. Unfortunately, it is usually not open for Halloweekends. :(

I had a frozen custard emergency last week at the park. On Monday, when we were in Frontier Town I wanted to get some but they were closed. Later in the day I headed up to the front and the one on the Main Midway was closed. I ended up having Dippin Dots twice that day. The next day the one in Frontier Town was closed again. The one on the Main Midway had a sign that said it would open later that day. We left the park around 6 from the resorts and I realized I hadn't had my custard so I ended up leaving the Soak City lot and reparking in the main lot and running back in, took a quick ride on Demon Drop, and then got my custard with fresh fruit. I was happy.

It's a great value too, IMO. The workers always make sure to fill the whole waffle cone, not leaving any "hollow" air pockets void of creamy goodness. And then you get to eat the dish!

Try it with fresh fruit. Something about the bananas and custard together create an amazing thing.

Agreed, I had it on my last trip and I had been there about 5 days before and they were out the first time. The girl actually remembered me and gave me a LOT of extra fruit to make up for the outage. It was soooooo good. Frozen custard makes my day there.

I would bet that next year the Engine House will be open a lot more with that funky iron horse going in back there.

For me Tofts is A must I love it
