Longest line at Cedar Point...

What is the longest you have stood in a line at Cedar Point for any ride?

Mine was for the Dragster the year it opened, we went opening day but didnt get on it due to the huge line. We then went later that week and stood in line for about 3 hours until we were on the ramp just about to enter the loading platform, until it broke down. After waiting for 3 hours and being that close we were not going to get out of line. So we waited it out, after a few more break downs, and delays, our total wait time was 5 1/2 hours to ride the dragster.

I waited 4-1/2 hours on opening day of TTD including about 1/2 hour of downtime. My buddy and I had it all figured out... we were going to use our Joe Cool Passes and get in line before everyone else.

Silly us. There were so many people there, they opened the gate and just let everyone in. That was the only reason I even got the Joe Cool That year. Got a lot of good pictures while waiting in line though. :)

I know exactly what you mean....me and a 3 other friends did the same thing. We were the first "regular" customers in line...i mean we were at the gate the first ones to get in becuase we had got there really early i forget exactly when. We all had joe cool to get in early...then as time went on to the right of us more and more people got let in early i dont even know why they got in before us i guess there were promotions or something, so we ran to the ride and there was already about a 3 hour wait...but o well we rode it a few days later as i stated earlier..

The several times I have gone both early and late season, I've never been asked to show my resort ID when I go to get in early. So I'm not sure how much this is enforced.

The longest was Top Thrill Dragster where I waited 4 hours.... on Media Day.

About 3 and a half hours for the front seat of MF on a hot August (week)day in 2003. It rained, then it dried up and got VERY hot and humid. Then the ride broke down. When we (my cousin and I) finally got to the station we decided to stick it out and take that extra half hour for the front. This was my second time on the Force.

Two and a half hours for MF its opening summer.

i can't remember the time factor but back in the late 70's, i remember waiting in the gemini line when it would stretch back to the witches wheel.

Three and half hours for Mean Streak in its first season.

Back when it was really the Mean Streak!

An hour and a half this past season for Top Thrill Dragster.

The longest line I remember when I went was TTD, the line was over 3 hours the whole day, the first day we went, and we only had to wait 30 minutes because of freeway... the line for front seat was very long. We were lucky to get on the Dragster two times... back seat, and front.

Remember when the magnum opened ho long those lines were theey had the extra section the went along that fenceline and it still spilled out. I guess becuase it wasnt like now when we have so many options to ride back then it was magnum or gemini for the most part....i waited a few times in the millenium line when it first opened and it was like 4 hours... well worth the wait though

At the front gate it was enforced very well (as I was often times the enforcer during Halloweekends this past year). There's supposed to be blue portable gates back by Magnum with someone checking passes there too, but I never worked that gate. As for the other two gates, I'm not sure what they did.

5+ hours for Mean Streak 2nd or 3rd day it was open. It rained a lot... If it had not rained it would of been more like 2 hours...

Top Thrill Dragster, 6 hours.

5 1/2 hours TTD, Rain, Breakdowns.

2004, I think. July.

5 and a half hours for TTD. It broke down twice and it was our second time on it. It was back when they still had the spoiler and tires on the last car. Our philosophy was "we've waited this long why get out now?" So we finally made it to the station and the guy told us to get in the line for the front seat...which added another half hour. But we met this cool kid and we got the black train. We sat down and the ride attendent stepped on my lap bar to get it down further...which doesn't feel good after 5 and a half hours with not going to the bathroom.

Well the year MF opened I waited 3 1/2 hours, got in the middle row. And did not fit the restraints. So I had to get off and walk away :( that still bugs me. This past year was the first time I could ride, and then only in the front or back. Any time I got in the middle, it was too small.
The longest I had to wait, and actually got to ride, was 2 hours for TTD this past year. I actually had 3 walk on days for TTD this past year. Being an employee I was there everyday, so if I saw there was no line I could get on (as long as I wasn't working).

MF, year 2000, waited 4 1/2 hours.
