Lockers?

I have no way of saying your right or wrong. I have never seen any employee manual or worked at any park ever. That isn't really the point though. But, I have been to lots of parks around the world (as my signature might suggest) and the only ride with a bin that I was told was for minimal use was on Shoot the Rapids. I attributed that to wanting as few people as possible climbing through a wet ride to minimize the possibility of people slipping and falling.

MF & TTD don't even have bins.

That's my point - on MF and TTD, the restraint design allows you to put your hat down your shirt while you ride, so the lack of bins isn't unreasonable. GK's restraint does not allow that, so it seems only reasonable that there should be small bins for such items.

It may not allow you to do it after the restraint is down. But there's nothing preventing you from doing it before the restraint is shut.

Essentially destroying your hat in the process. No thanks. :)

What kind of hat are you wearing that would be destroyed? Cowboy?

A quality fitted hat with a logo and a nicely curved brim. Repeatedly crushing it with GK's rather tight restraints would cause damage.

I suppose you could counter that I should wear a crappy hat to the park, but I would counter your counter by saying that they should have installed awnings over more than a small section of the queue.

And really, the whole "bins are dumb" thing strikes me as something so embarrassingly "enthusiasty". It's right up there with the desire to correct/point and laugh at/post on a forum about/etc. people who don't know how tall a ride is, which ride is which, or whatever. Just strikes me as totally out of touch and whiny. If the "GP" want to carry tons of crap with them, so be it. It is, after all, the "GP" that funds these shiny new attractions in the first place.

Fortunately, you're not responsible for setting any particular online agenda, and those of us who think that carrying crap is symbolic of a bigger cultural problem will continue to say so.

I have no doubt about that. :)

You have to buy lockers for drawstring bags but last time I was there I was wearing cargo shorts so I put the stuff in my bag in my pockets to get through the entrance of the line and after I was through I put the stuff back in the bag and the people in the station didn't say a word when I put my bag in the bin

I have noticed the ride ops at the gatekeeper entrance don,t let anybody to carry their suvinear drink bottle to the loading platform. They started last month of telling people that the cannot take their drinking bottle with them through the queue lines. The ride ops would tell people either put it in the lockers or leave it with a non rider. I used to carry my drinking bottle around the park for my drinks but I stopped carrying my drinking bottle with me due to lack of place on the gatekeeper loading platform.
