Space Spiral is one of the few rides that anyone can ride and one of the few that you are allowed to take pictures on. You are not allowed to take pictures on the wheel but they do it all the time. I really doubt that you will be able to take pictures on the new ride very well.
I'm not sure when the time will come, but I would think that eventually it will not be worth investing money to keep it going. I agree that it is nice for picture taking, but on the down side, you have to do that through glass. The fact that the cabin is rarely if ever air conditioned keeps people away.
I don't think you dig up the 30 feet of foundation, just leave it and remove the tower portion.

Pictures- If you dont have a good camera, than you will just get a bunch of blurs going around from windseeker's seats.
As for the view, it doesnt matter where or how close windseeker is to another observation ride. They planned to put the ride there because it is as close to the lake you can build without exceeding safety limits of the 21st century..........if you look at photos of the historic spin around ride, it used to sit right out in the water!! people would sit and spin around on it, then get flung into the water. But i am sure people got hurt, because their safety limits were different back then........but it looked really fun to me.....:)
I'd do it.
I'm all about dangerous stuff, so long as it happens low to the ground and it won't kill me. :)
After watching Bert do that in Texas on the Travel Channel, I have always wanted to do that! That video was awesome. :)
Let's Get Weird.
Getting back to if they were to relocate Space Spiral. I think if they could or wanted to move it, they would move it where Demon Drop used to be. I'm sure a lot of people would ride it then.
^I like that idea. The only problem there would be is the foundation is 40 feet below the ground. That would be a great idea though.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
It is only 30 feet to bedrock. The glaciers took care of that. That is why the footing is that depth.
The Hobo
^ That video looks like a lot of fun. If you look at the girl, she didn't like it that much. I think that would be fun though. Anyway back to WindSeeker. Does anybody know when they will be taken Ocean Motion out? Are they waiting until after the 2010 season completely, or will they start on it early?
One thing that nobody has stated with SS, is that besides being a ride it is also a tower for communication antenna.
I figure this would be the place to ask. Has anyone heard anything about what's going to happen to the entrance that stands where Windseeker will be located?

Ocean Motion will run for the rest of the season before it is dismantled.
Maybe i'm a little behind times but i thought it was simply being moved to the old demon drop site...
The Diz
Such a move has never even been hinted at by the park. That's solely enthusiast speculation.
