I read that next week is the last week of school. I actually factored that into my decision when to go, I'll be there next week starting this Sunday. Don't be surprised to see some bus trips though, as they are doing a week long Amusement Park 101 event for school trips, but I can't imagine it would be too crazy.
Local schools have little impact on attendance. Schools in the region overall have an impact, but it's essentially common sense. Most kids are out by mid-June, families began vacations, and the park starts to become more crowded. Lots of schools offer field trips to Cedar Point. The day you visit could be a day before the end of the school year, yet might be a big group sales day.
You'll have a better understanding on crowds by reading these tips than you will by looking at school schedules.
forget just local schools. u have the schools from around the region going soon, too. im here in ft. wayne indiana and the schools here not only go for after-prom (which is done) and science trips but the little rugrats in 8th grade have 8th grade "graduation-type" trips too! (i went to d.c. for my 8th grade trip;guess they cant afford those trips anymore)
