linens and things

Just a few questions:

  1. Is it O.K. to bring your own A/C unit? (This would be assuming you're living at either Bayside or Commons Apartments).
  2. Should we bring our own pillows, sheets, blankets, etc? (I've stayed in hostels before, and a college dorm -- not sure I'd want to use the wooly blankets provided).
  3. What is the main difference between Bayside and Commons Apartments (Including distance from the Park, specifically Famous Dave's restaurant).

Appericate.

1. not sure about that rule exactually.

2. You need to bring an pillow for sure, they provide you with bed sheets and a "wooly" blanket material. They also give you face cloths and towels for showering and what not.

3.Bayside holds 5-9 employees and Common Apartments hold up to 15 employees I believe. Commons Apartments are like 400 ft longer distance from Famous Daves.

Right. But I don't think Cedars is open until later in the season. I would like to live in one of the Bayside apartments, I believe, considering they're not full.

No matter, I think the most suitable living situation is going to present itself when I arrive.

Bayside is normally the first housing to fill up. If you are getting there in the next week you may have a chance, but by opening day you will probably be limited to Commons.

Their reason for not allowing such in the apartments is that the windows slide open to the side. It probably has more to do with inadaquate power handling.

We had an A/C unit in Bayside a few years ago, they just charged us extra rent every week for the power used. I forget how much, though.

I strongly recommend bringing your own sheets, mattress pads, and pillows. Even though they're laundered, those blankets you get are more for colder times. You'll be more comfortable in your personal linens anyway. You'll need all the personal comfort you can when you're tired from working all day long.

Good God...I saw the posting title and freaked. I used to be the "Windows Specialist" at Linens N' Things in Rossford and quit due to the Nazi like homophobic manager. Ack!

Anywho...I was the Housing Sup. @ Cedars in '96 & '97...feel free to e-mail me with any questions about Housing & stuff. I'd love to help!

Ok, I have a question. I'm just confused as to where the different housing buildings are. which ones are on-point and which are off?

From what I've heard, they're bunk beds . . . two sets, top and bottom. You can hang sheets and things over the sides to keep from waking your roomates up when you're reading, etc. The beds are twins.
