If you've ever been to Grose Ill Is. In the Detroit Area, the Sandusky Airport is sort of like that.

Maybe that one is only a temp. one. They'll probably put a better one up soon.

Gross Ille airport is just a two runway airport in a triangular shape. Just to clarify that. I ice fish Airport Bay right behind the airport.. And my dads a private pilot out of Gross ille..

Whoa? You could see Cedar Point from a plane? I was just flying yesterday and constantly looking out the window but I couldn't see anything.

By the way, fly into Cleveland. It's a lot closer.

Looks triangular to me.

Griffing Airport (KSKY) in Sandusky is a small general aviation airport. They have two runways, a flight school and a small restaurant in the main building. You can also charter a plane and they have limited scheduled airline service to the Lake Erie islands.

I enjoying flying Microsoft FS2002 from KSKY to the islands and back. I'm not good at creating scenery, but it would be great if any flight simulator enthusiasts out there made some detailed scenery of the Cedar Point area. It would be great to fly over the park and see it in all its glory.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

I was commenting on the whole "two runways and triangle". It would be kind of difficult to make a two sided triangle, now wouldn't it?

tambo - I may have mis-read what gigaman310 posted, but I doubt it. He said it was an airport shaped in a triangle with two runways. I don't know how anyone could have interpreted it any other way. He said nothing about the two runways forming a triangle, and nor did I. But if you look at the link, you'll see that the two runways actually do form a triangle, along with the taxi ways (the 3rd side). Any sixth grade math student knows how many sides there are to a triangle. Triangles are one of the most essential shapes in the world Without them, we wouldn't have buildings, bridges or roller coasters. Try counting how many there in TTD's tower alone. The first person who makes a two-sided one will probably get the Nobel Prize for mathematics, or be burned at the stake. I think you went for a quick joke, got embarassed that you got called on it, and now you are trying to cover your tracks. Forget about it. Move on. You'll live. Next time make sure you know what you're talking about and keep your patronizing comments to yourself.
