Hi!
I'm going to work at Soak City as a lifeguard this summer. I'm really nervous. Have any of you worked there before? What is the certification like?
Thanks for your help!

I'm Rob I was Wave Crew. Soak City is divided into Wave Crew, East Crew, West Crew, and Beach Crew. On your last day of training you will bid for these crews. (Beach and Wave are the only crews that have seated positions) East has all the water slides, and West, well you better LOVE kids to work on this crew. Training is not hard. IT was SO easy!! Do not even worry about it. Just pay attention during your 2 day training. Listen to everything your instructor says, as you will not get a book, only lecture and a study sheet. If you have any questions just let me know. My AIM is : PITFLYGUY

The Swim Test.......I really don't remember it...LOL I do remember that it was in the Wave Pool and they turned the waves on and we had to tread water for like 2 minutes. IT was actually easy. Then you had to jump in and grab a 10 LBS brick and hold it above your head. That was it. IT was easy. No worries! You will be fine! When do you process in?
Your guard class will probably be in one of the local school indoor pools. But they might wait till the end of the month and have do it in the wave pool just before the park opens.
A better place for Challenge Park questions would be this myspace profile: http://www.myspace.com/challengepark Alot of people look at it that have worked in Challenge park in the past along with some of the supervisors.

Hey i guess this may fall right in here somewhere... I had seen a lifeguard with an outline from under her bathing suit/lifeguard uniform in the shape of a piercing. If its under clothing and still in a way visible through the clothes, is it againtst CP dress code policy? I always wondered.
