How many days is training?Do we take a swimming test? Are the tests easy? what time do we usally start work? and thats about it. tell anyting i need to know about lifegaurding.
I had a roommate that was a life guard my first season. They're Ellis trained, so I'm sure if you google that you can find out what sort of training you might have to do and the length of it. She also would have to get up early once a week and go in for additional training I guess.

I was a guard at Disney and we were Ellis trained. It's normal three days of learning with the last part of the last day being testing out. Be prepared to practice lots and lots of CPR. Get it down to an art form because that can pass or fail you easily. The Ellis swim test is done by shallow water and deep water. It requires swimming laps are retrieving a rubber dive brick off the bottom. It's a lot of work but also a lot of fun! I don't know how Cedar Point determines or trains after that but that's how Ellis is. GOOD LUCK!
Training can be different based on a few different factors. First, everyone goes through basic lifeguard training, you learn CPR, basic water rescue, whistles, etc. This can be anywhere from 3 days to 5 depending on your processing in date and what the Supervisors decide. Training then is a little different once you learn where you'll be guarding at. Wave/Beach has different training than East/West, and each deck has its own in area training. On top of that, we have inservice weekly or was it bi weekly last season? I forgot haha. But ya, you come into work about an hour early and go over basic procedures again. If you're on wave you'll have your **** down for sure. I'll make sure of it ;)
