LHP Questions

May 16-20 here. Checking out on the 20th. The day I hate most every year! That long drive around the park to get to the causeway is so depressing, knowing it will be a whole year till we will be back!

I take it you are not from the surrounding (i.e. within 5 hours) area, Disney Mike?

Brandon

Orlando Florida. The front desk people ask the same qustion every year when we check in....

"You work at WDW and come here for vacation?"

YOU BET WE DO!

Well, if he's going to be ambassador to WDW, I would hope he's at least in FL, otherwise I think he might get his diplomatic immunity revoked.

and DJ, Stevie will be back. He's played his best down the stretch, and I don't think he wants to go out on that game. If he's not, I'll be paying whatever it takes for opening night so I can see that number 19 raised to the rafters.

I get diplomatic Immunity? Woo Hoo! What all does that get me? Front of the line access to all of the rides?

Well, you at least don't get ripped on here for simple mistakes, I'll work on other suggested perks when I get a chance. MrScott still has to approve them though.

The Mayor will be at LHP the 19th-21st. After meeting with Dick at 8am, we'll head over to the park for a few laps. Then, back to the cabin for burgers on the grill.

After lunch, we have another meeting with Dick until about 2pm. Then, back to the park for more fun for a couple of hours. Sizzlers on the grill for dinner, then Famous Daves for drinkie treats (Long Islands, I'm sure). Then back to the park, for the nightime expierence. After that, time at the cabin (more drinkie treats).

Then it all begins again on Saturday. Then there is Sunday...

If I live, I'll continue to be proud to be your Mayor.

At least we have Stevie in the office once his playing career is over.

I know he's recently played some of his best hockey in years, but I can't see him coming back. The spirit has always been willing, but the body not so much anymore. If its not one thing (knee), its another (back), and he's always had the mentality that if he can't contribute, he won't play. Of course he did contribute, but he's always been his own biggest critic... we'll find out in a week or so, I imagine.

And, John, I'll be there with you. I've watched his career since I was able to follow the game (about '85), and wouldn't miss that day for the World.

Brandon

FYI the WDW embasy will be open for cocktails every evening once the park closes! Nothing like sipping a cocktail at night on the deck overlooking Lake Erie and the Bay!

Right on, Disney Mike! I even enjoy the times at LHP after the park closes or before it opens as much as the park itself (GASP!).

Agreed! As a child we stayed at the Breakers, and my sadistic mother would make me lay on the beach till the sun went down, then we went into the park. Now as an adult, I can appreciate some of the "down time" at the resorts. But back then I thought it was torture to make me sit there on the beach watching everyone else having fun in the park! Those were the days, sitting on the beach, hearing the screams from Jumbo Jet, then we would eat dinner and go into the park. Mom would sit in Fascination and set me free. Just had to check in every hour to make sure I was OK.

Just called CP reservations to confirm my LHP reservation and ask about parking. The agent who took my call seemed uncertain at first but then stated that only the first parking toll would be refunded when I came to check-in and that I would have to pay each time I left the point and came back during my stay. Anyone know if this is this true? She said just check at the toll both when I arrived, but I'd kinda like to know now as I was planning on coming and going from the point quite a bit during my 4.5-day stay. Paying 9 bucks a pop if you are a resort guest seems a bit excessive. This may be my only trip this year, so I didn't see the need to buy a parking pass. Maybe I should have.

They give a resort parking pass that allows you to come and go as you please. Its a big white piece of paper. That says Cedar Point resorts on it along with your check-out date.

Goodbye MrScott

John

You will not pay for parking if staying on Point.
