LeBron James booted from TTD queue Monday??? You b

See today's Plain Dealer Section F, page 2. Small article.
In summary, the article says that LeBron went to Cedar Point with his classmates... lots of people recognized him... he rode Top Thrill... and lots of people crowded to see his on-ride photo when it came up. It did not say anything about line jumping. The clever title of the article is, "LeBron Hits New Heights."
that's good that he got booted because he should have to wait like everyone else. he was there on school trip so he didn't come to be a celebrity. i think he jus got caught up in the all star fame.
Who wouldn't get caught up in the fame? A majority of us really can't say that we wouldn't because we have nothing to refer it to. He is a 18 year old kid living a dream, he will have his slip-ups. Consider this: If the worst he ever does is line-jump, he is already ahead of many big name athletes.

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!

Some of my friends from school were at CP on Monday (stupid seniors... already out of school) and met him in line for the Raptor. They said he was pretty cool. They all took a picture with him, although he declined to give any autographs.
Amen, brother.

"What time does the 10 pm laser show start?"

I was in the line....he was not escorted OUT of the line, he was escorted INTO it. Security guards accompanied him (along with several of his friends) to the Freeway entrance (and they weren't giving out stamps that day.....); he definitely rode TTD and was not forced to leave the line.

...As I suspected, since apparently he talked to several blue and silver tags that day.

I had noticed a few people saying way to go to the park (when it was still believed he had been kicked out). Why was this such an accomplishment? I for one would let Lebron cut all day long in turn for them to actually kick a few smokers out of the lines (sorry it really annoys me). Anyway, I just wanted to state the obvious that there isn't a person on this site who wouldn't take a walk up on TTD. I'd be front of the line all the time if I was famous... that would almost make having a whole park full of people gawk at you all day worth it...

psycho,

You must be living in Fantasyland. There will always be VIP treatment for certain people. It is likely a good thing just to avoid riots. If he and his buddies got on, how much did that really add to you wait? Maybe another 5 minutes, if that?

It's not even an issue of treatment, it's an issue of safety. Famous people can cause massive chaos from people trying to get a look or autograph or whatever. That's not something you want in a confined queue area.

Actually, two of my friends were on a train that launched and went about 20 feet, so they had to wait, roll the trains back in, empty them, and test 2. My friends were in one of the cars that the basketball team had been on, so if we hadn't been line-jumped they would have been on the ride one or two trains earlier. Basically what I'm trying to say is that some people had to wait another 20 minutes. Sure, it wasn't very many people that had to wait that much longer, but it's still unfair and I'm still wrting a letter to CP.

Keep your stamp and use it for something that might matter. It isn't going to change and it is the practice of every theme park I have worked at or been to. Jeff and I both gave you the reason. These people are going to be mobbed if they are standing in queue lines. Have you ever seen those people killed in soccer matches? Picture young kids getting body slammed into metal queue rails while people are pushing for autographs or pictures.

It is the responsible thing to do whether you like it or not.

If he's that worried about being mobbed, why doesn't LeBron go buy his own TTD? 90 Mill from Nike is nothing to sneeze at. Heck, he could buy a couple!
Put yourself in his position. Would you want hundreds of people swarming around you for pictures and autographs and whatnot for, what could've been, four hours straight? Not to mention, in a queue?

Although, I do agree. He should just buy his own.

That's Ridiculous™

Not for only 90 million.
