Laundry...

Are there laundry facilities at the Commons Dorms? And are they free or does it cost money? Because I know at my university we get free laundry, but this IS Cedar Point.

There are laundry rooms but they are not free...If I remember right and if they are still the same I think it cost $1.50 for a load (Wash and Dry).

While they did update the washers/dryers a year or two ago in commons, I think that they are small and overpriced. Alright if you just have a load of essentials to do, but you have to buy a laundry card with a $5 deposit (that you can get back if you mail it back in or something... not even sure) and you have to put a minimum of $5 on it I think.

I would suggest taking your laundry to the new Sandusky Clean Scene on 250 (across from the mall). They have bigger machines that get your laundry done faster and better dryers - and all a bit cheaper than the commons facilities. You can use the free wifi there while your laundry is being done or get some lunch nearby in the area. They also offered some kind of discount there last year, so it's worth checking out.
