^I was agreeing with you, Muggsy. Sorry for the confusion. I have heard the same thing about the wind. Now that I have thought about it more, maybe it has more to do with the wind causing the structure to sway more? Instead of resistance on the cars? I really don't know. I know that Corkscrew also closes in high winds.
When I arrived at the Point for my first time, it was raining hard and thundering and there was high winds when we were crossing the causeway. It was almost impossible to see the road in front of us. When we arrived at the park the rain stopped but it was still dark. The only ride I saw going was Magnum and Corkscrew. There was even a tornado warning the first night we were there. It was raining the first day we were in the park but all the rides stayed open. There wasn't many people there so I took advantage of it. It rained while we were in the park a few times but a little rain wasn't gonna stop me from the short lines :)
