Yeah, they're called East and West. Due west on the Peninsula is about where they're hanging track right now at P2007 I would assume.
Mugsy, I thought of the same thing about launching in the other direction. If it doesn't matter, then why have I heard that the wind affects the launches and can cause it to close down?
^ I am not sure if you are saying that I think it doesn't matter, but I think it does. I have heard the same things.
^I was agreeing with you, Muggsy. Sorry for the confusion. I have heard the same thing about the wind. Now that I have thought about it more, maybe it has more to do with the wind causing the structure to sway more? Instead of resistance on the cars? I really don't know. I know that Corkscrew also closes in high winds.
Raptor gets closed if there is a strong wind coming off the bay, but not the lake. So the wind does have an affect on the trains themselves, not just the structures. I don't think I've ever seen Corkscrew closed because of wind though, unless its affected by wind off the lake.

I'd figure it's low enough to have any wind coming from the lake to be broke by Hotel Breakers.:)

And anything off the bay would be blocked by the rest of the island. That's why I'm trying to figure out what causes CS to close for wind.

When I arrived at the Point for my first time, it was raining hard and thundering and there was high winds when we were crossing the causeway. It was almost impossible to see the road in front of us. When we arrived at the park the rain stopped but it was still dark. The only ride I saw going was Magnum and Corkscrew. There was even a tornado warning the first night we were there. It was raining the first day we were in the park but all the rides stayed open. There wasn't many people there so I took advantage of it. It rained while we were in the park a few times but a little rain wasn't gonna stop me from the short lines :)
