Hello, I am a former employee and I just want to give some information. All companies are requires to have all employee W-2's in the mail and postmarked by Jan. 31. Last year Cedar Point sent my W-2 in a manila envelope with no post mark on the W-2. I recived it the week of Feb 14. Cedar Point had sent my tax information late and tried to hide it. If this happens to you this year call (800) 829-1040 and let the IRS know.
I have 2 questions for you:
1. Did Cedar Point have your current address on file? If not and it was returned to them by the post office, that is beyond their control.
2. The post office date-stamps every piece of mail they pick up unless the company uses a meter. Your manila envelope should have had a post office date-stamp or the Cedar Point meter date-stamp. You can't hide what date it was mailed.
