This was one of my best trips to Cedar Point, the weather was perfect for most of the day and there was a good crowd.
I arrived at 10:45 AM in the morning and made my way straight to the Millenium Force Fast Pass line and after ten minutes of waiting, received a stamp for 2-3:00 PM. So I went over to Mantis and found that there was only a half-hour wait. I rode in the front of Mantis, I haven't done so for a few years and kind of appreciated the ride a little more. The brakes didn't seem that bad at all.
Snake River Falls and Thunder Canyon remained a congested area for most of the day, so I skipped them to ride Mean Streak that never had a line. I rode that twice since a train was in the way after I got off the first time. Gemini offered a fun ride, though we lost the race.
By noon we were in the queu for Magnum, the platform was really disorganized, after awhile, we realized that there were more lines then there were rows. There was nobody regulating the capacity of the platform so the heat bouncing off of other bodies was uncomfortable considering the warm weather. Great ride as always.
We went out into Challenge Park for some golf and go karts, wish the Ripcord was taller. I was able to ride one in Orlando in June and I was sure that Ripcord wasn't going to give me the same affect, so I saved my $20 bux.
I re-entered the park around 1:40 PM and found there was a line that led towards the Top Thrill Dragster Fastpass. I wasn't sure when they distributed the Fastpass because I usually just wait in line. But I was willing to wait in the for about 20 minutes. My friend convinced me that it wasn't for the Top Thrill Dragster, and said "The idiots are waiting for snowcones". I figured that he was wrong because there were alot of regular Cedar Point regulars in that line and I doubt they would be waiting in that long line. I surrended to my friends nagging and left the line.
We went to use our fastpasses for Millenium Force which was then one hour long line. We arrived a little early so we played $1 hoops. We walked away 7 out of 10, ten minutes well spent. I waited a long time in line because I never rode in the front of Millenium Force, so the ride was great. Even though I had bug stains in my shirt and I guess they were in my mouth also. Swallowing bugs is a small price to pay for Millenium Force.
We went for a place to eat and ran into some slurpeez and some karoke on the way before making our way towards Ocean Motion. We skipped most rides over there and got onto Maxair that said it had a 30 minute wait that turned out to be less than 10 minutes. Same great ride that I experienced in PKI. Disaster Transport said that it had a 45 minute line. It was hot on Maxair and I wouldn't mind the line if it had air conditioning. But not even half as long as the time posted just like every other ride turned out to be. (Wicked Twister was closed for the day.)
We went Johnny Rockets and were somewhat obnoxious there because the waitress urged us to be. The food was alright but riding Raptor right after was much better. The line was 15 minutes long because it was later in the afternoon. We made a slow walk to ride the Sky Ride back to the middle of the park. To a restroom break. Than headed to Power Tower.
We rode the Turbo Drop, great view of the back of the park. The wait at the top is really short, but the view is memorable.
Top Thrill Dragster was an hour and a half long. We got to the ramps leading up to the stations in twenty minutes, but than it started to drag. It took us another 20 minutes just to make it up the ramp, they also were loading the station pretty well. But luckily, I went to the third seat towards the back that didn't seem to popular and got behind six people.
We decided to call it a day at around 6:30 and by 7 pm we went back to retrieve the basketballs we stored in the lockers. As we left the tent of the lockers it began to poor. It was a sign that we weren't suppose to leave. But we walked soaking wet to the car, stripped naked and shivered that 45 minutes back home to Toledo.
Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!
