A couple of years ago I was on the last public train of the year for Magnum. As we made our way back to the station we didn't stop and got one more ride. It was pretty ef'n cool.
Do they still do this, does it happen on all the rides? My girl and I are thinking about finding something different to ride this year, maybe Meanstreak or Raptor. We want to avoid the horror stories we have heard about Millennium Force and the fights that break out to get that last train.
I have never seen a lap belt actually keep a person in. They are a failsafe for the bars. The bars keep you in and if they fail, the belts are there just in case. Prior to a couple of accidents about a decade ago most coasters only had over the shoulder restraints or bars.I still didn't fall out.
I'm going out to get some air.

I would think a reride would be dangerous. I have seen people unhook thier lap belt when the ride comes in for the final break run before getting into the station. If someone unhooked the belt, not expecting another ride, could be sending riders out with unhooked belts.
We didn't just pass right through the station. We arrived in the station and they announced that we would get another one.
I'll be at Magnum at the end of the night as I have the past 2 years. I like to stick with tradition. If I happen to spot a golden ticket I'll be at Millennium Force.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I only saw one person with one, but didn't know who she was. Hope it all went well at MF. I was able to get on the last "public" train on Dragster. After our train they sent an employee train, and few more people were allowed to fill the empty seats. It all went fairly smooth though without too much drama on the platform.
How funny that I would start this topic and then not even stay until close...
We were constantly going from Friday at 3pm until about 2pm yesterday. We called it quits when it felt like our knees were going to give out. yet, after staying until close on Friday & Saturday I can say I am quite content with closing out this season.
It was the best season ever..
