I would be interested to see, of all the guests who come to CP, how many are able to ride Millennium and Dragster and how many cannot due to the safety restraints?
According to your "statistic" 420TTD a majority of those guests visiting Cedar Point would not be able to ride either one of these for that reason, however I doubt that is the case. In fact, it would seem that it is a very small minority that is unable to.
I don't mean to marginalize this group. It is unfortunate that those who were able to ride from 00-03 are unable to now without changing anything themselves. However, you are making the group larger than it actually is.

But don't you think that there are a lot of people who don't even try to get on one of these rides. And you can't just say TTD and MF.... there are literally 100's of rides that fall into this category.
Tim
But I'm not surprised that someone 6'3 250 can't fit into turnpike cars. Should those be rebuilt so they can accommodate more people? What about Chaos? Or the Snoopy Camp Bus? There has to be a limit somewhere.
Millennium accommodates a very large percentage of the population. There are some who couldn't fit BEFORE the policy change. For those, well odds are you do need to lose weight. But those who fit pre-2004 and don't now have a legitimate beef. Especially those who can close the seatbelt because what's the difference between having a snug closed seatbelt and one that has to be pulled tight? However this starts getting into semantics.
Someone died on an Intamin ride, so they changed the requirements for their rides. It has caused lots of bad PR for Cedar Point, which I'm sure in turn is causing them to lean on Intamin. That's probably why last year, and it would seem again this year, the restrictions have gotten lighter.
And yes, the average size of an American is larger than that of a European, and that's just talking about the healthy people. This is an issue any European company is going to have to deal with in designing rides. Intamin has done as best they can to accommodate as many people as possible and still fit within the design guidelines. If they made the seats farther apart to accommodate taller people, they would have to cut a row off the train (hurting capacity) or make the stations longer (meaning it might not fit in the allotted space). You pick what will accommodate the largest number of people, unfortunately, this means that some will get left off the list.

Guy, thanks for backing me. I am a Indy wrestler in Ohio, Michigan and Indy so I have to have some bulk on me if you understand wrestling. N e ways, I canf it in just about every ride/rollercoaster there. Now WT and Raptor I can due to my chest size which is 56" inchs. Now my waiste line is in between 40 and 42. So I know what I can and can not ride. I honestly think CP should look into seat that can accommodate any size. Last summer I saw alot I mean ALOT of larger people in the park then yrs before. I know they get up set if they are a few inchs or whatever away from buckling or pulling that 1/2 inch. Even last summer I went to SFGA in Ill. andI fit into every coaster there. So is SF more accommodated to larger people or what??
Dieting is easier said then done. I have never gone to Cedar Point and not been able to fit into MF and TTD but there were a few times I was close to not being able to. My weight fluxuates constantly. And for some people they can try and try and not have any weight sucess.

MF_Man, I will comment on several points you have made.
...EVERYONE (Park Ops) think that the belts are the same as the test seat. VERY WRONG!!
They say what they are told to say. Some of them actually believe what they are told to say. The problem is that the test seat is not situated in the same was as in the train and it isn't even the same seat. The belts have been adjusted and outright changed multiple times. It's either too short or too long and it varies depending on what there last change was.
Lady luck was on my side one day when ride op saw me fit into the test seat, then after waiting in line she was on the loading dock. She saw that I could not get buckled in so she did something so i could buckle in, I didn't have that 1/2 inch and I got to ride.
That ride host violated Standard Operating Procedures regardless to the seatbelt situation. If I seen that happen then she would have got an operational violation.
They need to go back to the first belts they had before, then CP nor Intamin would get so many complaints.
Nor as high of a chance of everyone coming back safely. Both Intamin and Cedar Fair already have battlescars. Neither are willing to take any chances in this regard.
In some cases they have but ever since that man was killed on Superman (due to Ride Op not doing their job), Intamin has gone to the extreme on safty.
Maybe because Intamin is running on thin ice and one more strike could shut down their roller coaster division. Also the seatbelt on the certain Six Flags seat was more accommodating to larger people. That is up untill Spring of 2004.
But why keep going to a company that is base rides on smaller people?
Cedar Fair hasn't signed any contracts for an Intamin roller coaster since this whole mess came up. That discounts any current deals that might be in progress for 2007 or later as they are kept confidential untill announcement.
Put yourself in them shoes and think before you write.
I don't have to, my shoes are big enough already.
The real question is have the measures taken by Intamin and Cedar Point been effective in improving the safety of it's two Intamin rides with T-bar restraints, seats, ect. since 2000?
A man with alot of foolish answers.
"Maybe because Intamin is running on thin ice and one more strike could shut down their roller coaster division. Also the seatbelt on the certain Six Flags seat was more accommodating to larger people. That is up untill Spring of 2004."
Hmmmm.....I think I said I was there last summer which would mean 2005!?! Oh yeah thats right, the summer of 2005 that means last yr right??
And since you are this mission to put someone down and make you all high and mighty. Why don't you comment on "Family Fun and or Family Vac."
And since your shoes are big enough that means you have no room to talk also Mr. Know It All!!!
If anyone has a lot of foolish answers, it's you. I'm simply interpreting your extraneous comments with information I've found to be fact.
Have I failed? Yes. I can't get you to pull away from your emotional bias to this subject. That emotional pull will do nothing more than cloud your senses. With that you have a "How dare anyone question my statements and opinions!" attitude.
I'm not high and mighty nor am I trying to put you down. If there were the case, I would have had a field day on many of your comments. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me what was said on here.
Go ahead and comment as much as you want on what I have posted. Just understand that I can take hits and unless your comments are backed by reasonable logic then they will have zero effect. Works the same way when you fill out complaint cards at Cedar Point.
Shhhhh..........did you hear that.........do you hear that voice.........oh its the forgotten one again.

Dude you have wrote a..........well look a bove ok.
I'm done fighting with you. I have proving my point and some have backed me up on this issue and I have thanked them for it. So if you like to met up at the park someday and chat more. I would be glad to, I rather talk in person man to man then to fight like lil girls on the computer. Yes I know have stooped that low but now I rather you man up and met me there. Have a nice day and I hope you enjoy the rest of your off season.

MF Man sorry to say but Forggotten EE is right in what he has stated you actually are in the wrong here. Sorry
Like I said before, everyone take a step back.
Cedar Point Lady, if I am wrong then like I told Forgotten met me at CP and talk man to man.
Walt I respect you and yes that why I wrote met me and talk to me man to man. Yes I know I stooped to his low and I am sorry for that. As of right now I'll take alot of steps back and leave the trash alone.
