Lack of cars?

Why do so many CP employees not have cars? It seems as if about half the people in housing don't drive.

Last season, my car broke down a month before the end of the season and I had to bus it everywhere. I just about went crazy. I couldn't go anywhere unless I was off and could take the CP bus to the shopping areas or bum a ride off of somebody.

Alot of college age workers dont have the extra cash that a vehicle eats!
Don't forget about the large number of international students the park hires that need to live in housing and have no way of bringing a car with them.
My last car cost me two hundred bucks. It runs like a charm, and since Sandusky's so small, gas prices aren't too consuming. The only thing I could think of that would hold you back could be insurance, but 50 bucks a month isn't a bad expense to becoming self-reliant so you can go where you want, when you want.

Also, now that I think about it, how did you guys get back and forth to high school and work when you were 16/17? I know my parents would've never driven me to work every night. I had to pay 200 cash for my first car, and they took me to work for one week so I could get that money...I paid the man and I got the car, my dad told me to never ask him for a ride again because I was responsible for myself now lol...tough love. :-P

But seriously, did your parents drive all you guys back and forth to work ur junior and senior years? I couldn't imagine that.
