Labor Day Weekend

A great trip! It did have some bumps, but the weather was awesome!

Arrived later than hoped (11:30 pm Thursday at Camper Village) but the 6 hour trip had no suprises and that is a good thing.

Camps get set, drinks get drunk and we make it to sleep 24 hours after I had gotten up--4 am.

We hit the park by 11 am and take advantage of a walk-on on Magnum and a walk-on on Gemini. Both offered GREAT rides! We missed Mean Squeak and I have since regreted that.

Raptor was a walk-on (3 times) and then we went to look at WT. Nobody wanted to ride it after seeing the welds and the towers sway. I didn't care one way or the other if we rode it. It was a "just there" type of ride for me.

We head back to MF. 45 minute wait. A nice ride towards the front of the train. We did not use Freeway, Fastpass or whatever the heck it is. We were staying in Camper Village, so it really didn't matter. We walked the beach after that (and found the Beach Entrance to the walk-up bar) and had a Long Island Iced Tea (and ordered one for each of us to go). I don't remember what happed after that.

The next day we started with Maggie again. Very Nice! Then headed to DT. The theming is better, but not what it was when it was new. I yelled to the ride-op that he was doing a great job ands he replied that "I was the Man". I think that that is a good thing. :) We then have an excellent meal at Johnny Rockets (Sorry Dan).

The next day was was spent in Challenge Park and Soak City. We do love that swim up bar!! :)

And the racing was great!

All in all, a great trip. One bad thing though was when we were walking the dog (Scruffy, a Schnauser), he got his nose bit by a snake! A lot of blood, but no venom! It knocked him out of the pictue for a day, but he is OK :)

PS: New track for the new ride all over the place.
