Labor Day 2

Some observations from my trip on Labor day....

This was a fantastic day at the Point for me. We have a visitor from my home town in South Africa staying with us, and it was superb to be able to take him to GL on the 5th, and then up to CP on the 6th. GL was empty, and we had virtually unllimited riding on anything we liked, which was great.

For the first time in all my visits to CP since TTD was built, it actually RAN PROPERLY. In 21 rides (today being the 21st), this is the only time it did not break down while I have been in line. We waited 1 hour, and it was great.

MF was her usual awesome self - we got 3 rides, just magic. Best part was chatting to a 7/8/9? yr old girl in front of us who was riding for the first time. There is something really special about seeing these huge rides through the eyes of a child. They have a completely different take on what part of the ride might be scary.

Raptor....what can I say? The crew was doing a stunning job in keeping the ride rocking. We had 18 rides between 3pm and closing, and we left only to get two laps on MF...can't beat that. Big shout out to the whole Raptor crew, esp Amanda who made my SA visitor feel really welcome in the park.

Great to hear you brought a friend up to the states to enjoy the greatest park out there. Sounds like you had fun, and yeah talking to a younger kid is fun, just to see how mixed up their emotions are. Words from my seven year sister on the way to CP, "I'm going on Gemini and Demon Drop this year! Then I'm going to ride Corkscrew a million times!" When we arrived there, she was afraid to go on Gemini and Demon Drop, and when I asked if she wanted to go on Corkscrew a second time, she bailed out.

Yeah Panman and Sean S Eagle, talking to of hearing little kids talking out going on the big rides and even TTD. Or going to other parks and wearing my CP gear and people in line or else were asking me if I rode TTD. Then they ask what is was like or isit scary at all. I always tell them it is a fun and thrilling coaster to ride and there is nothing in the world like it.
