Kings island trip! June 11th and 12th

Hey ya'll! Just got back from kings island and had a great time. it was my parents anniversary(sp?) tuesday and we wanted to spend it at Cinci's finest amusement park. SOB was broken all day, so we pretty much enjoyed everything but that! me and my sister rode Beast so many times over again and even bought our on ride photo at night. That thing is sweeet at night! But the funniest part of the trip was getting stuck in adventure express's lift tunnel! we were just going up.......then it suddenly stopped!

we all sat in the train for about 20 mins and then the ride host came down to keep us entertained by singing songs, clapping, it was one girl's b-day so we all sang happy birthday!! we had to sit there and stare at those silly tiki men with their red eyes and drums pounding above our heads! ha ha! we begged one ride host to take us to firehawk, and he said he wanted to, but he was not allowed and he felt bad.

i did get in linr for firehawk, but the line has this strange way of sending ppl to the station!!! then it broke down and I left the line. besides, i did ride it when it was at Geauga Lake as X-flight!

The water park was nice (boomerang bay) and we loved the huge funnel flume ride.

what I thought was cool was that at the eiffel tower, i saw a man in a Maverick first rider T-shirt getting on the elevator. Then i went to cedar point on father's day and in line for Skyhawk I saw a man in a firehawk first rider T-shirt!! Pretty cool huh?

Well, that's my KI trip! It was fun driving all the way from Marblehead, OH to Cinci!

Nice TR! I always liked KI. On a side note, when is SoB expected to reopen? Didn't the park initially say late July?

I think the goal was the 4th.

Initially the goal was Memorial Day Weekend...

It should be very soon though, crews have been cleaning the queues, and as of yesterday, the trains were being put on the track.

I will admit, I'd like to give SoB another try with the new trains, though I am very skeptical.
