I am stoked about employee trips to King's Island and other places. If you have any information on these trips, please post. Thanks.
I have a few questions about the esd trips as well. First off, how many people usually go on these trips? Say for example this PKI trip or the Geauga Lake trip. Second, is it hard to request off and do they allow a group from a certain ride location to go together, or do you just go individually and make new friends? Thanks for the help guys!
*Edit: Grammar.. my lack of english classes this semester must be getting to me

First year guy here, I'm really lookin forward to the King's Island trip, (Son of Beast). Does anyone know if they have any new rides this year?
I can answer that one! Yeah, they built Italian Job: Stunt Track this off-season. It's a themed coaster with fire and helicopters and the like. It looks fun, but doesn't have the speed or height CP rides have. Plus, all of the themeing elements might make the ride unreliable. I can't wait to hop on The Beast, one of the top wooden coasters on my list.

I think that getting off really depends on how your crew is staffed. I would love to go to PKI as well, the new coaster looks cool and I have yet to ride Son of Beast.
As for Geauga Lake, I'm planning on driving there myself a few times, it is only an hour away, and since we get in free with our CP id's the cost would be minimal. If anyone wants go with me just let me know.
OK as it goes, getting off does depond on the staffing level at your ride location. However your TL will do what he can to help you as long as he doesn't short himself. I personally never had a problem getting off for an ESD trip. Usually you'll know a few of the people on the trip, friends and such from other rides, but you will deffinatly make new friends while there. I know I'm going to try and go on a few this year because I couldn't last year. For all you new guys: Be Safe, Be Happy, and For Gods Sake....HAVE FUN.

yeah they have a new roller coaster this year themed to the italian job the trains are designed to look like mini coopers i cant wait to go if i can get off that day it ll b fun
Yeah, I was at PKI at the end of last season while they were building it and they were showing all kinds of previews in the queues. It looks pretty darn cool, if you ask me. My advice though, if you get down there, is to skip the Tomb Raider ride. It was way over-hyped and definitely not worth the wait.
Are you sure this isn't the Atlantic Ocean?
GO TIGERS!
Kool when you think about going look me up I'll tag along. If ya don't mind

I process in next week as well, on Monday. Right now I am planning on living in the commons dorms, but don't have a roommate. I'm looking forward for another season. The weather is looking pretty bad next week in Sandusky, something about snow showers.
See you then.
