Kiddy Kingdom

There's a difference between "old and run down" and "old and well maintained."

When I was a kid, I loved the old play area they had near Kiddy Kingdom... the giant cargo net and the maze. I was disturbed by the ball pit even then... But the net and maze were fun. So was the super slide, but why have a regular old slide that gives you rugburns when you have all of those slides at Soak City that are burn-free?

hmmm... new family health center this season.... to treat burns from the new 500ft super slide next season??

Not a difference in "run down looking" though.

This is the best shot I could find quickly and I don't think it run down at all.

If you want run down then I have a better example.

I'm all about Coney Island getting a major facelift.

I would love to see something more visually exciting come to Kiddy Kingdom. Perhaps an elevated ride like Flying Unicorns. There is so much they could do there to ramp up the excitement factor.

As a general statement, I would say Kiddy Kingdom looks esthetically out-of-date. And not really in a nostalgic good way. I would also bet Planning & Design knows that. I guarantee kids don't care. But people like us who are constantly evaluating the park, trying to offer constructive criticism of where improvement can be made, I don't think that's a bad thing. You just gotta choose your words carefully some times (all the time) and I hope I have :)
